It’s lioden and Egyptian lore

It’s lore from the June Event - Rise of Serpent - where the Serpent of Chaos Apophis has reawaken after centuries of sleep and is on the verge of ending the world.
This monster is actually the Big Bad in Egyptian mythology and the being the Egyptian gods - specifically Bast - fight off in the Underworld to protect the souls - including the Sun God Ra who makes the journey during each phase of the day - those making the journey to the Afterlife if they have past Anubis’s judgement.

I don’t know much about Far Cry since I’ve never played it, but I don’t think it would be too hard to mix some of this together to play well and made a big problem for all these lions.
