I'll see what I can do. Still figuring out how to use this blending item without removing the lineart. ![]() |

I support, but I would call it the King Julien Base ![]() I agree with the up comment. Not the tail blended but the rest of the body markings, especially towards the face should be more blended as it is a base, not additional markings. To blend, you can try taking a color in between on an upper layer, and do light and minimal strokes with a transparent ish brush. ![]() Edited on 16/04/23 @ 21:09:45 by Rika [Opal|Clean|2x Ros.] (#124894) |

Thank you, Rika! I will try that. The program with the blending brush does do layers, but I can't find one with the lineart on a transparent base, just as a grey background behind the lineart, which doesn't help with having the main design beneath the grey. ![]() |

Yeah already the newer one is looking great! I did not mean a transparent base or layer, I meant a transparent brush as in just less opacity, if you're able to change that but I haven't found an art program where I can't yet. ![]() |

Oh! Thank you, Rika. I was directed to a program that DOES do that opacity thing, I think. Still learning it. The program is free, and is called Kleki. Check it out, it seems pretty cool! ![]() |

I think it would look better as a marking set (like "Ring Tail Markings") and include the muzzle, eyes, and tail stripes as the marking shape, and then you could have it in different colours, since most bases(not all) aren't super heavy with looking like they have markings I love ring tailed lemurs though, literally my fav animal, so it seems like a workable concept to me, just more as markings vs a base ![]() |

Thank you, Sakasu! I may suggest it in markings then, too. I really don't know what is best for markings and what is best for bases. I am just trying to make an "animal series" of bases/markings. ![]() |

I am actually sort of with Sakasu. As I said before, to be a base it needs to be heavily blended out, but I'd love to see it as markings that people really try for in different colours. I am not downvoting this but I would suggest adding it to marking as well. I like the idea of getting tail rings. ![]() |

Yep! Thank you, Rika :) I have added it to Marking suggestions as well. I may remove this post so that I can put it only in Markings. ![]() Edited on 16/04/23 @ 21:38:54 by TabbyBri (#430441) |

Pretty but like everyone has said needs to be blended a little more. I recommend getting a line art template and a base template as separate layers, I can give some links to templates if you want. Also a good free drawing app is ibisPaint, it’s easy to use for me. ![]() |

Thank you so much, Idkaname! I will try to blend it some more. I FINALLY got the smudge blender thing to work, so it SHOULD be able to work under templates. The issue with the Ring-tailed lemur is that its tail bands, for the actual lemur, are really quite distinct, so I would have to blend them more than matches the real life animal. Still, it is probably needed. Thank you for your help! And thank you also for letting me know about IbisPaint! I will look into it! :D ![]() |
