What markings are considered to be breed-only? I know that Tier 2 markings are considered to be breed-only. I'm also assuming that Mottled Rosette/Stripes are considered to be breed-only as well. Are Tier 3 markings (that you can't add with piety) considered to be breed-only? How about Tier 4 Rosettes? And Tier 6 markings, are they breed-only? Thanks! 1 player likes this post! Like? Mottled rosette/stripes appear on first gen hybrids and therefore have their own tier! (Tier 5) Tier 3 markings are special NCL markings (meaning they only appear during certain months and can only be passed down through breeding, so take that as you will), Tier 4 rosettes, (aka most rosettes) are passed down/unlocked by breeding but can be also unlocked through RMAs or total shuffles. So, I wouldn't consider them breeding-exclusive but that's the main way you're gonna get them. Tier 6 markings can be applied via applicators. Hope this helped! 1 player likes this post! Like? I think the term 'breed-only Marking' is a player made concept, Tier 2 markings are officially considered 'Raffle Markings' by the game. So overall it's a thing of interpretation, however I believe some players would consider Tier 2 markings as the only true breed-only markings. I would sort Mottled Stripes & Mottles Rosettes definitely into breed-only, but not all Tier 5 Markings (=Gorilla Apps) are breed-only. I wouldn't count any Tier 3 Marking that can be applied via Applicator (RMA excluded ofc) or November piety as breed only. Tier 4 are technically breed-only, since they can only be applied via RMA, be passed down from parents or appear randomly on cubs (so y'know, via breeding.) Tier 6 can only be passed via parents or be applied via RMA, so the same concept as Tier 2 Markings (but the chance of getting one of those from an RMA is higher) 0 players like this post! Like? From my understanding, most people looking for breed-only markings are looking for Tier 2, as well as Tier 3 markings related to the July celestial lionesses and August savage male studs. Depending on who you talk to, Tiers 4 and 5 may be included as well. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Gotcha, I appreciate the responses! I suppose it's all up to player interpretation. :) 0 players like this post! Like? |
