You step into a large, forgotten clearing. Stone flooring lies partially covered by dirt and weeds in the ground; braziers surround the edges of the shrine, hoping to be lit once more. Unfortunately for them, that is not why you are here.

A huge statue rises before you, the vines and cracked stone betraying its age. Despite that, the deity it depicts is clear.

A centipede's body curls upwards around a pillar, its legs slowly becoming more like paws until it reaches the top, where the centipede has the head of a dog. Its ears hang long and low at its chest, the head tilted down to stare at you. Antennae sprout from its head, beginning right between the eyes and curving loosely into spirals above it.

You hurry forward, your offerings in hand, and place them at the base of the statue. It is bare and smooth, the name of the deity long since worn off. But you know. Of course you do. If you didn't you wouldn't be here.

You procure a piece of chalk from your pocket, drawing several symbols. Maybe once, long ago, they meant something to people, but to you, they are just scribbles. A means to summon and speak to the deity before you.

Stepping back into the center of the clearing, you wait. It takes a long time, almost too long, for the statue to finally begin crackling and moving. The centipede-dog drops down onto the ground and shakes itself (like a dog, unsurprisingly), its segments rippling.

It looks at you, and its antennae shift into a shape you somehow understand means annoyed.

You step forward, opening your mouth. "Stup-." You're cut off from saying the deity's full name by a growl.

"Please, call me Stu."

"Stu, I need your help. We're being terrorized by monsters. New ones, not the ones we've dealt with before. I've read about you and the creatures under your protection. The cats. Please, can you tell us where to find them?"

The deity laughed. "They're all around you. In your forests, your oceans and lakes, underground. But they don't want to be found. I can help you though, for a price."

Shimmerfell - a once-great oceanside city. A mysterious typhoon destroyed the upper part of the city, killing the royals and leaving their castle in ruins. It is now considered cursed. NOT UNLOCKED

Ironspire - a sprawling underground city. It was built to focus on the mining trade and is the largest city. It also holds illegal and valuable items, if you know where to look. NOT UNLOCKED
