Sooo....
I can't be the only one who gets frustrated when I can't find the applicator I need because it has some weird name? Or not being able to differentiate between marking & base apps?

My suggestion, rather than changing the art (which is also confusing sometimes lol), if we could just modify the names of apps?
Example would be:
Base App(licator): Flavorful App Name (Name of base)

Base Applicator: Favor of Anubis (Velvet)

So if you're trying to search for either: Anubis apps, Base Apps, Velvet base app, you can w/o needing the specific name of said app?

I really do like the flavor text of app names, but it can be pretty confusing imo

Eye apps are already named that way, so why not the other types of apps?

EDIT: Since the names could be long, We could instead do:
Mane/Fur: Atlas (Atlas)
Mane: Atlas Fur (Atlas)
Base/Body: Feast of (April's Fools) [Green]
Marking(s): Jacana (Jacana Markings)
Marking(s): Diceros [Rhino]
Marking(s): Mistletoe
Marking(s): Grace of the King Cheetah [Cheetah Royal]
Base/Body: Grullo Stud (Grullo)
Base/Body: Interstellar Remnants [Interstellar]
Base/Body: One with the Giants [Ivory]
Body: Ethereal [Ethereal]
Base: Ethereal Body [Ethereal]

Some are obviously pretty straight forward based on their name already, I gave a handful of combinations to
1. shorten the name of the item
2. keep the theme of the item
3. (parenthesis) or [brackets] would work, I think I prefer brackets for the actual application, since some items (april fools base) have parenthesis in the name already.


Edit: I would love to hear any input on why you would not be interested in this :)
