We’ve all noticed the TC economy going to the trash lately and this is my suggestion of how to fix *part* of it. What part am I suggesting we fix? Lions are increasingly worth less, especially if they don’t have a passable mutation or a “preferred” special base. (interstellar, jelly and prismatic are preferred but no one cares about blood moon for example). I will often fodder a mutated male lion to the gorilla because they are worth almost nothing with several preferred traits. What is my fix? My suggestion is throttling the number of lions born with a certain characteristic after a limit. What does this solve? This will create scarcity, making once high value lions, high value once again. An example: Interstellar’s projected doom A year ago the average price of an interstellar based lion was around 15-20 GB. Now it’s about 5-10 GB. Why is this? Well, with interstellar being the most popular king’s base, much more interstellars get born. One king may produce several interstellar cubs in his lifetime. When the most popular king’s base is just churning out the base, you get a lack of scarcity. This will eventually lead to there being so many interstellar lions that it’s not even worth much. This is where the throttle would kick in. When the is “X” amount of lions with a trait, in our example Interstellar, the drop rate of this trait will plummet until there is a normal amount of lions with this trait. (Normal can be different for each trait). An example of the throttle in action could look like this: If there are enough interstellar lions in the game that each payer *could* have one, the throttle kicks in. Once this generation of interstellar lions dies out, there will be only about 1 Interstellar lion per 4 people, keeping the interstellar base as a high value trait. There will be no announcement when the throttle kicks in. What traits could be throttled? - Special “prefered” bases like Interstellar, Dawn, Prismatic, Jelly, ect. - High value markings like interstellar, Dawn, vit. - *Possibly* the black rosettes. I say possibly because of their mystic nature and I do not want to take away from that. - ALL mutations, and I mean ALL. I would even raise the throttle on the non-passable ones to make them worth more. Like clawless, for example. The throttle would not affect breeding items. It may mean that if we’ve hit the throttle on clawless lions, your CRB lion will be less likely to throw that specific mutation, but more likely to throw one that has not hit the throttle limit. Let me know what you think! |

Sorry, I don't support. I completely understand the frustration with over-saturated markets and lions being de-valued, but I don't think this is the best solutions.

agree with racoon. no support. The market should fix when a new mutie of worth is released. The issue isnt even the devaluing of lions, but a mixture of a huge influx of players and the fact that nothing super worth it (a mutie) has been released, so everyones currenct focus is crbs. Once a new hybrid/primal or other decent mutie is released, the market will get better. 0 players like this post! Like? |
