I'll answer some of the questions to the best of my ability:

What's most popular? - Manes for females, piebald and patches for existing mutations (Tigon, Leopon, Ferus, etc), fangs or tongues for hybrids come to mind.

Is it better to make CD for mutations or just normal lions? - That's up to you. A lot of decor for mutations (Tigon, Leopon, Ferus, Felis, lethals, etc) are probably made by people who have them and thus want to decorate them more freely. But a higher % of the playerbase has lions whose lineart isn't changed enough to "need" custom decor, as there are official decor that actually fit them. But there are limitations to official decor, such as varied mane decor for females.

How much is too much for a price / How much is too cheap? - Depends on how hard you worked on it, but mostly I'd say it's how much the decor changes on the lion. If it's a full outfit (like some decors that are a hat + cloak + tail decoration or whatever) the price should be higher than if it's a single tooth sticking out or a bracelet. There is an SB and GB option, but both options have a minimum of 3 GB added on automatically. Anything beyond that price (2000 SB or 3 GB for example for a total of 2000 SB+3 GB or 6 GB) would be what goes to you as the creator, I believe.
