So I'm unsure if anyone has made a post like this, I had a small browse but wasn't too sure about what titles to look for so here goes! (Mods feel free to lock and link if such a thread exists!)

So the main problem I have with raffles is getting people to give items, especially if the items in question are expensive (balls, barks and GMO moos, just to name a few) so I thought of an idea that could help encourage people to use these items as tickets.

Say you enter a thread raffle, the item tickets will be set to a specific number of raffle tickets in the raffle depending on what the person running it feels is fair (eg. buffy balls=50 tickets) but one issue with thread raffles is there isn't a guarantee it's going to run or run fairly (no judgement to those who frequently hold these raffles just you can never be too sure that everyone who runs them uses an RNG to find out who wins)

Now yes I could just hold a thread raffle but sometimes I'm unsure if it'll gain enough traction to at least make up the price of items included in them, so the last thing I want is to have to refund however many tickets to however many people that entered, call it laziness but I just don't have the time to do that like I used to with work and everything and I'm sure there are others in the same boat.

Another problem is of course if you set item tickets to cheaper items (skulls, feathers and explore drops) you're most likely going to get hundreds of them and it's still considered the same worth as the more expensive items in game? Sure you could just not set those items as tickets but if you need them to craft and such you'd want to set them, not to mention if you want newer players and those that don't have much to have at least some sort of chance, sometimes cheaper items are the way to go. However, they shouldn't be worth the same as the more expensive items.

As a sum up, my suggestion is to make it so we can set a ticket worth on the items we include in a raffle, that way it encourages more item entries and a better chance to win if you do enter certain items and guarantee the safety of your items until the raffle is completed. Hopefully it could free up some space in the raffle forums and make it all around easier for everyone, rather than scrambling to keep track of tickets and which items belong to who until it's over.
