This isn't suggesting any wild new rosette colours. Well, it is. You see fiery rosettes? You can get those bad boys in ANY rosette shape you want.

Wouldn't it make sense for that to be true for all of them?

Listen, I love doubloon and auburn rosettes... but why is there only soft, shaded and heavy? Why not the original, and the inverteds too? Folks have been crying out for light coloured rosettes for years. Why does cream get exactly TWO out of the eight shapes? Why is it so... random?

So, here's the meat of the suggestion: just give every existing colour all 8 shapes. This would cause a huge number of new markings, yes, but at least it'd make sense, and we'd get bone soft rosette and doubloon inverted rosette. I'd call that a win. What about seal or noctis inverted rosettes? We can make those work too. With another under mark layered on top, they might even open up new design opportunities. At the very least, the light under rosettes turned over-rosettes is long overdue.

And here's some simple mock-ups made by me. The eyes/skins are just hue shifted for my own convenience, they are not existing features! They are just an existing base + one of the non-existent rosette and colour combinations.
