Help?? i’m a newbie ( you can see the sprout i think) and i learn things quick but the only thing i still can’t figure out (apart from getting jb quick so i can sell gmo cows and salt licks for free gb) is the difference between dirty and clean??

I keep seeing it whenever i come across trades with lions, and i just came across somebody’s ferus cub and it said clean on the footnote. I just HAVE to ask because i seriously cannot figure out for the LIFE OF ME what the difference is or what it even means!! is it something like inbreeding or studding?? help!!

The most common definition has to do with inbreeding, yes! A "clean" lion has no inbreeding, and a "dirty" lion might be inbred. Some people only count the first page, but others go all the way back.

Another definition of clean refers to heritage as well, but this kind of clean heritage involves no Big 4 of the time in the lineage. This isn't as popular, though. Most people nowadays talk about inbreeding.

Inbreeding has no effect on gameplay, and the only benefit non-inbred lions get is potentially being able to fetch a higher price on TC. It's not the huge deal some people make it out to be.

Welcome to Lioden, by the way!

oH!
Thank you so much!! I knew inbreeding had no effect and honestly thought it wouldn’t be a thing to market them as a non-inbred lion for more money. I guess it makes sense tho- you don’t really want a mix of sweet home alabama in your nice pride i guess!

I tend to prefer short, non-inbred heritages as an aesthetic kind of thing! It's really just personal preference. I have an inbred lion or two that's just super pretty, I couldn't pass them up. Just depends on how you wanna play.
