Exactly what it says on the tin. As you can see from this screenshot, trade ad spam and other rule-breaking material went unpunished when posted in user's comment boxes as the staff believes chat boxes should be entirely 'self-moderated'. Assumedly with this ticket's wording, this carries over to ALL Code of Conduct rulebreaks in chatboxes, meaning if you're directly harassed and called vile names in your den chat box they wouldn't moderate that for you either, expecting you to do it yourself or else just turn the feature off.

Just because moderators and staff don't want to do their jobs doesn't mean that players should be allowed to harass others, spam, post stud and trade ads, insult others, leave hundreds of single-character spam comments, and ETC with impunity without being reportable or having their account standing knocked. If we apply this ruleset to any other similar comparable format of interaction DMs, main chat, forums, and etcetera wouldn't be moderated at all either. I sure hope I don't wake up in the morning only to discover someone left a slur in my chatbox that went undeleted for 14 hours, because Lioden's ultra-busy staff don't think that that's a problem! I sure hope I don't roll over for a few days only to return to my page and discover something offensive that'd been publicly visible the entire time, because Lioden's ultra-ultra-busy staff don't think that that's a problem! I'm glad that on this website you can receive an account standing hit for politely DMing someone asking about a lion that's not for sale, but comment boxes are the Wild fucking West.

I'd recommend everyone turn chat boxes off until this extremely glaring and honestly absolutely shameful rule loophole is fixed- instead of 'for future updates, maybe, if we have the time', how about this be the site's literal #1 priority and be added to the Code of Conduct immediately. Ideally this evening.
