Have you ever breed 2 clean lions and thought the offspring would be clean, then when the cub is born and you realise they shared a great grand parent or something? Annoying!!!

What if on the heritage menu it had a small icon or mark if they shared some lions in the heritage? Only the first page of heritage since itโ€™s irrelevant on the rest of the pages. It would not have to be a big marking/icon or anything. A small * on the breeding info would be more than enough

I get that coding it would be hard if it goes after name. But all lions have unique numbers. So perhaps that would be a way?

Add/edit:
Perhaps like when you check their hidden markings or mutations.

Please share your thoughts. I wanna read the for and against arguments!!

Eh, I support. I personally couldn't care less when it comes to heritage, but the feature shouldn't be too bad to implement, should just be a wee lil function that does a quick cross-comparison, flags identical lion IDs, and returns with an easy 'found something' or 'found nothing'.

Replying to Jenova :
Exactly! Iโ€™m usually not this invested in heritage. But i got really sad earlier today when I found out 3 of the litters had this problemโ€ฆ

No support, because if its only going to show/apply to the first page, I think its just easier to check and make sure you dont see the same name on both your king and the lionesses heritage page. I feel as if this feature would be hard to code (if it were to extend past one page but in the case of it being one page it might be easier) and just overall might not be needed when you could just take a minute to make sure they arent related. Although the idea in theory is pretty cool! ^^

Alternatively, this could also be solved by having a lower gen lioness or king

IIV0I -
I would like to point out that from my personal coding knowledge, such a feature should be a relatively easy function to code in, as mentioned above. I would be quite shocked if it were to be a nightmare, because it should just be a nice lil AND function. If it spots the same number in both lists, it triggers the AND response. If not, the response doesn't trigger and thus wouldn't override the default response. I imagine bloodlines are kept as a essentially lists, so a function just comparing the lists is...relatively basic programming knowledge. That hinges on the assumption that the Lioden coding isn't some weird, amalgamation, monstrosity of a thing, though ๐Ÿคฃ

IIV0I :
Itโ€™s not that easy when itโ€™s full of lions named newly claimed Lioness. And then thereโ€™s no way of knowing if they are the same lion. Also the problem isnโ€™t long gen lions. I have mostly g2/g3 Lioness. And only a g4 king.
Itโ€™s not that easy to go back and fourth looking and comparing 40 names.

Also I know a bit of coding. And this feature would be easy to make.

In that case, yea I think the feature would be pretty handy! Luckily I haven't ran into that issue since I only breed to g1 lionesses and I have a g2 king but I was recently in the market for a quad ros clone and someone offered their quad ros cub as clean and unfortunately they hadn't realised the mother of the clone and their king shared the same grandmother, so I can def see this feature being useful for most people ^^

In addition to that feature, it could be kind of cool to see a feature that counts the total amount of inbreeding in a lion/lionesses whole heritage! I could be wrong on this, but in the few times I played wolvden I swear there was a feature that counted inbreeding (not sure if that went beyond the first page though)

Should also be relatively easy enough to program ^^ support that addendum just as much as the base, suggestion.
