This is more of a question, but I have a current breeding project of breeding a melanistic heir by passing the mutation from a melanistic lioness, is this possible? I have a melanistic mother and plenty of LS at the ready, but I’m unsure if melanism is a passable mutation in the first place and would like to know.

Thank you!

Not without a lion scrotum. It doesn't pass naturally (the only naturally passable mutations are listed on the wiki here), but it does have the usual 25% chance per cub of passing if you use a lion scrotum on an existing lioness with melanism :)

Alright! As I said in the post, I’ve got plenty, so that’s good. Let’s just hope I can get a heir before she gets too old. Thank you!
