The way it is right now, we're expected to maintain our own comment boxes. Deleting comments works, but only to an extent. This is an issue on a site which still allows legal minors, 16 year olds, to utilise it- as I've seen some quite weird stuff in those boxes. Deleting a comment does not discourage another member from their behaviour, and often might even encourage it as it's not even a slap on the wrist.
It's also VERY uncomfortable to receive sales or advertisements via Comment Boxes.

Why not just disable your comment box if it irks you so much?
I do not think certain members should have to completely disable a feature due to the actions of others. This is hugely unfair, as everyone should be able to tailor and experience Lioden how they feel most comfortable within the guides of the COC.
I love comment boxes.
I do not love certain comments received.

What's the issue?
-Do you think if someone PMed you to ask about you selling a lion they'd get no repercussion? No. Often this leads to a harassment or spam orient account standing hit. This does not happen when done in comment boxes.

-Do you think if someone messaged you to advertise a trade they'd get no repercussion? No. Once again, it'd be a harassment or spam repercussion.

-Lastly, are you comfortable receiving messages like '(King name here) banged your lionesses 💪' or '(King name here) barfed all over, and one of your lionesses ate it. Wtf?' I know I sure as hell wouldn't be. And these are real examples of messages which would be let slide in Comment Boxes. These are not the worst examples, and whilst I've not yet experienced it myself I know people have had sexually themed messages or personal attacks in comment boxes before.


A feature on the site shouldn't have to be disabled for a members comfort because it's running rampant away from the COC. I understand some messages are able to be Modboxed and received repercussion, but the lines for these are incredibly blurry and unsafe.

Keeping the site safe is keeping people happy. That is part of a Moderators job. Comment Boxes are no different to PMs on a scale of how much they can hurt people. Why not add flagging to help?
