TLDR: all of a sudden everything I need for event and snake quests becomes impossible to find 🙃 So I’m getting super ticked off because as soon as I accept a quest from anything/anyone (whether it be event-related, or from quest snake), the thing I am looking for all of a sudden becomes EXTREMELY SCARCE and difficult to obtain. I have a substantial amount of snake scents, so I use that for my explore quests. Here’s where things get really annoying: today I have a quest from the snake for my lionesses to bring back a gazelle from a hunt. It is something that is super common for them to bring back, and I didn’t think it was going to be an issue, but I have run out of hunts on my main lionesses still looking for a freakin gazelle. Now my not-so-well-traversed lionesses and fodders are doing hunting. They’ve brought back EVERYTHING ELSE under the sun. I’ve sent them only to places where gazelle can be caught, with no luck. They always bring back something, so I know that they don’t just suck at hunting. And more times than not, they bring back two carcasses. Along with hunting not being the most FRUITFUL all of a sudden, looking to fulfill my quests for the event has been EXTREMELY TEDIOUS. First, I noticed that when Nirah asks for you to kill rabid animals, surprise surprise, it took almost 80% OF MY ENERGY to find one, and after that I lost anyways. It took me all of yesterday to wait for the bar to pop back up so I could explore. Today, I had to kill angels. Again, they simply were not appearing, and by the time they appeared, I’d lose. I’ve tried lower level zones so I can get more steps in/more effectively defeat the necessary creatures, but it helps very little when I simply don’t come across what I need. SHOCKER, after I complete the quest, WOW, the lands are filled with angels and zombies and rabies-filled animals once again. Is this a common thing??? Why does lioden do this? Is it just me, and am I crazy? It’s really frustrating and not cool. I noticed the issues during September’s events when omens started becoming scarce as soon as I needed to find them too. I personally didn't have issues finding omens in September, and I haven't this month with rabid animals or angels either. However, I do know it is a feature for some things to become more scarce when a quest asks for it. I know, at least last time I played November, that it's extremely frustrating. I've heard people complaining about September and this month, but maybe I'm just insanely lucky? I have no issues. Unfortunately, October enemies ARE very strong. Generally, stick to the lower-level zones like you have been. Pounce and try to grab them, then pound. Red foxes, rabid painted dogs, and the hunting dog all have soft skin, so they're better to claw, along with a few others like the zombie poacher. Night has a lot more unique encounters that can shove aside rabid animals (though I still encounter plenty), so if you're really set on only rabid animals, hyena butter and explore during the day. Night encounters give a lot of blood beetles, though. I also just... don't do the snake quests. They're not really worth it imo. Furthermore, if you stick around, lucky feet let you win a battle instantly. You have a chance to stock up on a lot in April! I get a good stock of them then and save them for October. Of course, you had no opportunity for that, but! Next year, maybe! There are some suggestions, I believe, to increase the rate at which event quest encounters show up. I recommend trying to go for as many beetles as you can and buying crunchy worms, if possible. They're high-value items that you can sell for at least 40gb each later in the year! If you're aligned with the demons, the shadows of death are also pretty valuable on their own. :D 1 player likes this post! Like? |

@leon Bah, yeah I should just try the hyena butter too. I’ll take your advice and try nighttime for beetles if I need it and daytime for rabies! I try to do snake quests so I have somethin to do in my spare time, but you’re right, they aren’t worth it, I just get fed up so quickly. LOL. Thanks a bunch 🖤 1 player likes this post!
