Tier 3 markings include both markings applied via applicators bought during events and markings that can only be obtained via breeding NCLs claimed during those events (or by breeding to event studs). Because of how different these two methods are, it doesn't really make sense to lump these markings together and it makes it confusing when trying to evaluate the worth of a lion with a bunch of tier 3 markings, because unless you have them memorized you'll need to check which markings are breed-only and thus valuable, and which are applicator and thus aren't.

It also makes it a pain when planning an heir's design in the lion wardrobe. Even if you try to filter the markings by tier so that you just see the ones that can be applied to an existing lion, there's no way to differentiate between the event markings that you can actually apply to your heir and the ones that you can't.

It'd make more sense to separate the tier 3 markings into something like tier 3 - event applicator and tier 4 - event breed only (renumbering as needed).

Oh I support! Honestly, when they put in the leonid, dawn and stratosphere marking apps I was a bit thrown off as those marking colours were previously Bo.

Though some bo Ncl markings that are event exclusive can be applied through piety in November so lumping them in with app marks isn't as bad in my opinion.

But it can be confusing at times!

Supported! It's a bit confusing at times.

I've managed to memorize most of them but the July Applicable ones still throw me off from time to time.

yo quick note

event ncl markings aren't bo
they can be applied with piety in november

exclusive ncl markings are bo though

i also don't recommend using tier 4, as those are specifically rosettes

this exact suggestion has been made many times, as far back as several years ago, lol! i myself made a similar one.

but this one is probably the one they will lock this thread and send us to, since that's what they did to me!

to be honest, this is such a huge QoL adjustment, i can't believe it STILL isn't fixed.

Hard support!
For now Trier 3 consists of three type of markings:
- Applicator markings
- Event NCL markings that can be applies with Piety in November
- Actual Breed-only makings that can only be obrained by special explore NCLs, August studs or July lionesses.

I suggest the first two could stay in Tier 3 (applicable) and the latter to be moved to Tier 2 9breed-only)

As someone who has Cinnabar-marked king it's pretty infuriating to see some of them marked as 2 and some as 3 while they are all breed-only.
