Wind kept howling and it was almost a blizzard outside. The nighttime had wrapped the forest into its velvety darkness hours ago and this night not even the moon had come to lighten up a lone wanderer's path. There was no sight of anyone, every animal and every creature had already found their own homes being wise and keeping safe from the freezing coldness. However, the same couldn't be said from everyone.

The snow was so deep that it was almost impossible for a young cat to even walk properly, but she did her best, even though it was exhausting to constantly try to crawl in a snow that was up to her neck. Her ears were pressed tightly against her skull and she shivered. It was so cold and her still thin fur did nothing to help warm her up. She was so young, barely even 6 moons old. Yet even despite her young age, she had already travelled a long way. The place she had came from was very far away from here and the young she cat didn't even know where she was going. However, one thing she knew; she had to keep going. Should she stop nothing good would happen, she couldn't slow down, she couldn't stop even a moment to rest. She just had to keep going no matter how difficult it would be.

Coming leaf-bare, there could only be so much done and completed. The weather had been too harsh for his clanmates and to his own liking as well — resources had been limited to little to none, the air was thin and cold that it made his nose uncomfortably cold and almost numb, and his lungs were screaming for warmer, fresher air. It suffocated him, to say the least, but there was nothing Leopardstar couldn't handle. For his clan, he’d patrol these frontiers as many times as possible, even if it meant plowing through layers of snow, even if it meant sacrificing his paws and his body to the dangerous frost and eventually freezing to death. He’d ensure his clan’s safety above all — that was his pledge to his clan anyway when Galestar, the previous leader, appointed him as deputy before . . . things went south and he took over their place at the young age of 22.

Death. When Galestar died, lost their final life to the malicious attacks of rebellious rogues-turned-clancats from within the camp, Thunderclan was in absolute chaos. It became a new policy then, that the clan would never, ever accept anyone from outside the clans.

But when Leopardstar from his post on a tree saw a kittypet astray — clear in the faint smell of twolegs she emitted — he couldn’t help the sense of pity welling in his chest. She’s young, he thinks. In this dreadful winter weather, even clan cats have their struggles in the thick snow, but this young cat — this kittypet — kept on marching through with all strength left like there was no tomorrow.

There was likely no tomorrow for this cat if he wasn’t there.

So the tom gracefully climbed down, landed on the frost with a soft crunch under his paws, and trekked his away across toward the other.

“This is a dangerous place,” he meows, loud and clear, wisps of his warm breath flying away in swirls in the air. He needed to make sure she was aware of her surroundings, of where she’s currently at. The least a house cat could do when they were in the wild was to always be on the lookout and know where they are — not all wild cats would be this friendly. “You’re in Thunderclan territory and far away from where you’re from. Do you know that?”

The young Bengal was too tired to even notice that someone had landed in front of her. However, once she did, she was almost startled looking at the big brownish cat who stood there magnificent as a statue, at least compared to hers. He listened his words tilting her head a little when he mentioned Thunderclan. Thunderclan? What was that? She had never heard of anything like that. Though she was far away from home, that she knew, not that she had a home to return to anymore.

"Thunderclan?" the young female meowed softly. "I have never heard about something like that," she said looking very tired. "I don't have home anymore..." she then whispered swaying on her feet a little. She hadn't paid much attention to her tiredness when she had been on the move, but now that she had stopped her tiredness was starting to catch up with her.
