There was a mixed reaction, and we've taken that on board. We went back to square one - we'd like to get your feedback on a new design that we've created, heavily inspired by the current layout - just spruced up a bit, and modernized to use more current web technology! Some Notes: * This is not the final iteration of the layout, it's a preview build - there may be minor issues that will be fixed, or things that we rearrange. Please don't worry about bug reporting or making suggestions for repositioning at this point - we're looking for feedback about how the layout as a whole feels to you! * This layout should be fully mobile responsive, including the lion images and their layers * We are about 99% of the way with color contrast accessibility, and the new accent colors (buttons, progress bars [hunger, energy, etc]) should be colorblind friendly. * Alerts can cause a problem due to very similar brightnesses so icons have been added to alerts to counteract any bad interactions with colorblindness. * Layout Preview Settings: At the bottom of the page there are two options for layout settings. * Text can be resized to your preference within a range. The current default text size (90%) is the most similar to Lioden's current text size. 100% will be the new default when this layout launches, but we will automatically set everyone who is a member at the time to 90% so it's less of a harsh adjustment right away. The plan is that when the layout is implemented, this will be a setting on your account that you can change at will. * The site's theme can be changed to the game's existing layout themes (Day/Default, Night and Desert) and there is a new Dark theme. We are still tweaking Dark theme, and it's important to note that Night and Desert are lower contrast themes and may cause accessibility issues. Preview a Lion Page View the Theme Elements Page Bonus: Landing Page (Xylax is unhappy about the age of the art we've used, it will be updated ;D) Please give any and all feedback within this topic! I personally think it's too crowded, especially for the view lion page. And I also agree with Kuma, in you should make an "original" theme with everything how it is currently. (This theme would have no way of accessing dark mode) 3 players like this post! Like? |

I'm a mobile user and the new lion page just doesn't feel good to navigate. It takes too long to scroll through. The current page has everything grouped nicely and I don't feel like you've improved anything(aside from the new features) with the new one. 5 players like this post! Like? |

It really doesn't look like Wolvden at all, IMO. I've played Wolvden for a good amount of time (and I like it!) and this recode preview (and the initial one) look very distinct from it. I can see it a little with the general coding style but I think that's something inevitable and I personally think the newer versions still keep the Lioden appeal. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

@xon - Most CSS actually seems to work on the pages with minimal changes! I've tested it myself with a live css editor tool. While it's not 100%, a lot of the div elements on lion pages are also shared by den pages, so by doing the css editor tool it allows me to see what would likely need editing. This and this are images of my own personal den CSS applied and unedited to fit the new things, to show you just how much it really works. 3 players like this post! Like? |

Its so nice to be able to read this without needing to hunt down my glasses. Its clean and neat and easy to understand. The cub listings for the lioness page could possibly be moved into a drop down menu to save space however 0 players like this post! Like? |

Actually, one small issue I've noticed. You cannot see all 10 markings a lion can have by default without scrolling. Is there anyway the table could be made larger to show down to the tenth marking slot without having to expand if the lion doesn't have 20 markings? Here is what I mean showcased on PC. The marking table is already longer than the appearance table next to it, so I think it could be expanded the extra ~15 pixels to show all ten markings without causing absolute chaos. 6 players like this post! I feel that the breeding info on the lion pages should be moved back up to its original position. The "flattened" look that extends across the entirety of the page that we have currently does diminish the amount of scrolling we have to go through (something that other players have critiqued about the new layout, which I agree with), and from the perspective of somebody who prefers to look at the heritage of every lion I come across before I consider purchasing/take a closer look into their appearance, it's sort of annoying to have to scroll through all the lion's information before I can navigate to what I look for first. As for the overall site layout, I think it's really lovely! In particular I really really like the new event tab, it displays tons of helpful information. I also think the little profile picture of your king next to their bars is such a cute touch! But my personal opinion is that the layout of the widgets on the lion page should stay relatively the same and just be "reskinned" to suit the new site aesthetic. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

From reading through a few comments here maybe I'm in the minority, but I actually really like the new layout, including on lion pages! I thought I might not (because I wasn't really a fan of the previous version shown a while back), but I really do think it's a big improvement. Especially on phone/tablet which is almost always what I play Lioden on these days. The one thing that immediately jumped out at me is the same as @jester mentioned a few posts up - it's a bit of a shame that you can't view the 'normal' full 10 markings (currently more like 9 and a bit lol) without having to expand/scroll. It'd be nice to see 10 as default if that were possible. I'm sure of course this would take a while to get used to because it's been a loooong time playing with the previous layout, but my initial feeling about it is really positive. It seems really clean and the sizing of everything is so much nicer and more legible for those of us viewing on small screens <3 5 players like this post! Like? |

The intention was to have the first 10 visible, I think some code has undone itself to stop that - definitely can add it back though. Gonna take a bit of a break, long day yesterday thatโs now eating into my weekend. Thanks all for the feedback so far! 5 players like this post! Like? |
