I much prefer the way it is. It's not as colorful and less distracting. I also feel like there's too much going on at once. I like the plain and simple it is now and it works

I feel like its too busy and intimidating to new players. It feels like wolvden which I've been struggling to navigate because im so used to liodens layout. I think if the new one was a bit less cluttered it would be fine!

One more thing I just noticed that I think is a pretty big setback from what we currently have; not being able to see notifications for Messages unless you click the menu button. In the past I’ve relied on being able to see whether or not I have notifications to determine whether it’s worth rolling that day or not.

Not sure if this is something that is intended to be kept as is with the new update or not, which is why I felt like it might be worth pointing it out. And can we please have a truly monochromatic theme this time? ToT

I agree with the people who are saying "have a toggle between the layouts." However, I'm not sure if that's even feasible? I am still not keen at all on the new layout, I just can't get past how cluttered it looks. Hate it, puts me on edge looking at it. I like some of the new buttons but I can't see why we need all of the redesign still.

a suggestion: i wonder if a lot of the length/clutter complaints on the lion page could be resolved by adding tabs? like default tab is lion info, another tab for genetics, one for stats (battle stats and lifetime achievements/hunting/etc), and then functional buttons could be separate or visible on all tabs like feed, play, breed, chase, etc

at least on mobile, that is. maybe not on desktop, i haven't previewed it there quite yet

2 things I’d like refined

The font size at top-can you add smaller options? Right now the text at top is as big as the lion herself. I’d like option to make it way smaller. The text overwhelms the lion. She should be the focus not all that text at least for me.

Can heritage and cubs bred be more to top like maybe under find a stud? It’s way too far down. Heritage is something I like to check.

Actually, it'd be great to swap places the Find Stud/Reverse Breed line, and the Heritage/Cubs Bred/Former Prides line!

Because Find Stud/Reverse Breed belong with breeding info, AND not used very often, so they wouldnt be requiered so high on top. However Heritage is something important to check when you check for inbreeding or check what gen a lion is when purchasing etc.

I personally love it! With the new layout I can understand the game better and find things easier, which will make me enjoy it more.

I think it’d be a good idea to make it optional though. Like having a toggle in your settings for “Old Layout” or “New Layout”. Sometimes new layouts can be hard for folks, so making it optional would be great!

Wolvden’s layout was the biggest reason I didn’t play it for long.

I'd like to note that I work for a web design company, so I'm viewing this as a somewhat professional standard than I am at my personal preferences to start.

I'd also like to note that I really love the work being done to improve the site. I understand those who prefer the current layout because it holds the original charm or maybe change is overwhelming for them, but I do truly believe that the website needs changing and updating.

Lion Page

The "Feed" "Play" "Breed" & "Auto Breed" fill out a little more space with bigger buttons, which looks nicer in my opinion.
The addition to "Find Stud" is interesting and with that feature, I think "Find Stud" and "Reverse Breed" are placed perfectly.
[Mini update after reading some other comments] I do actually like the thought of replacing heritage and such with Find Stud and Reverse Breeding :0 While I think the buttons are placed well, the other two features may benefit the players more.

If I were designing this page, I would make the boxes for "Appearance" and "Markings" the same height (in addition to the scroll wheel on the "Markings" tab and the option to expand) I don't think "Expand" needs its own button, but would be nicer to the look of the page if it were maybe a little arrow icon that served as a dropdown?

A weird nitpick of mine with the scroll wheel is that it'd look nicer if the colors were integrated with the palette of the site.

Overall, I don't really agree with the Lion Page looking cluttered or busy. I'm someone who really enjoys having all the information laid out in front of me (so long as it is organized properly)

Event Landing

It took me a hot minute to realize what the colored banners were for, honestly lol. ANYWAY

I honestly don't think the current layout for the Events is bad, though I do understand the need for an update :0
I don't have a big opinion on the new event page, but i do like that all the currencies are displayed on the sidebar!

Landing Page

I love the layout of the landing page, but I think the colors could be a little less dark/bold. You want colors that will match the site, but also draw in players and create a more lively appeal. I think the dark brown could come off as a little more...daunting.

The copyright information could be lower on the footer - and the addition of the Lioden logo overtop of it would really make that footer feel more professional.

I not a big fan of it if I'll be honest, it feels to odd to use, the buttons to feel big as if they pop out at me, the new layout just seems to odd to returning players, i feel like if this change happened lots of players would leave the site.

it feels very cluttered and too much. looking between current and now, i think its because everything is so big and close to the screen, so it feels like my eyes move a further distance to look at less information (even though there is a ton of visible info on the screen)
