I do not want this added as it's a nightmare to navigate and see on mobile. Everything is too similar! One thing I really like how for here the bookmarks, cool downs, achievements, event currency, and time of day slot are all very distinct and super easy to distinguish from each other. Its easier on my eyes and not hard to process. I know the new boxes do have a very large font saying which spot it is, but its just too simple and repetitive for my liking.

I've also been playing for 3 years and I don't want to have to relearn everything I know about this game layout, I don't have the time anymore. I can mindlessly feed, play, breed, etc. to a point where it doesn't take me long to get things I need to get done completed.

the new layout looks like a layout a website for kids would use (webkinz as a example) and i generally just dont want to relearn something i have learned pretty well i would rather the staff work on it some more then try to release this layout because its not looking good at all and it doesnt work well on mobile

It makes more sense for the cubs to be under where the cubs actually is, and for heritage to be closer to the cubs, I personally would get rid of former prides/put it as a link like it already is now, but it seems you're set on having it/redoing the website so I put it in a less likely to be "fat-thumbed" on space due to their being less links on that side.

As someone with ADHD, the new layout feels a bit overfilled and overwhelming, it's a little bit too much information placed together. I think that making the layout a bit wider would make it easier to read the information

I’m worried about how long these pages are. They seem like a hassle to scroll through. More collapsible menus seem like a potential compromise because trying to get to the bottom of the page, especially on the lioness pages, is going to make it a real pain

Looking on mobile rn so I might return with feedback for desktop later. I think it's important to note that I have no direct web design or dev experience aside from a silly little personal site on neocities, so my feedback is from the POV of someone who enjoys pet sims rather than a professional. If anything here comes off as rude, I don't intend it that way. I had to get up early today and it's making it hard to pick good words lol

Lion page:
》Why round the feed and play buttons? Feels weird and makes them stand out unnecessarily from other buttons on the site.
》Super flat buttons with flat shadows make the lion clash with the rest of the site, but I'm not sure how this can be fixed. Maybe try adding some subtle visual noise to the background? I'm not sure how to describe it, but I'm thinking of something like the Simply Twilling theme on Ao3.
》Colors so bright. So many colors. They're bright regardless of theme. Lion and rest of page are not bright. Owie. (I use desert bc it's warm and lower contrast, and this new theme is uh. Not. Dark hurts less but it still hurts.) But on that note—why color code the buttons and not the needs bars?
》Everything is big but it's all still close together, which makes it feel a bit cramped. I can deal with the smaller buttons on here and WD because they're usually spaced out. Setting the font size to the smallest available helps a lot with making it less overwhelming, but not a lot with spacing. I hope we keep the ability to change the font size in the final.

Landing page:
》My phone screen is fairly large and the image still takes up 80% of it. It seems wonky and reads as "garbage mobile game website." It's too similar to other games and other sites, and doesn't say much about LD. There are a good chunk of websites out there that just have "single big image with logo and text under it" and some of them even use templates.
》It feels like an ad instead of a main welcome page. The main page rn has things that are interesting to see even if you have an account (such as the random items, lions, and NPCs—part of the reason I'm here at all is that I thought the random lions were cool). This one is just "Lioden is a website with features." It feels extremely impersonal and commercial.

I actually have an easier time using LD on mobile than WD with the current layout, tbh. WD's buttons are bigger, but they aren't always spaced out. The number of times I've accidentally hit the menu when I want to hit the button or vice versa when training apprentices is ridiculous. On here, tapping tiles is a thousand times more engaging and friendly on mobile than navigating drop-down menus and buttons. I can click all of my tiles in less than a second if I use two fingers. :3

Making things mobile friendly doesn't necessarily mean making buttons big—it just means making it hard to accidentally click the wrong thing. I use Ao3 with tiny text because that's what I like, and the buttons are always super spaced out so I never have to worry about clicking the wrong one. I think, overall, the theme needs more empty space and more noise.

And I do want to say that I like the layout of the new design, even if I don't like the skin/appearance. Aside from my concerns about spacing, I like the order everything is in and where it's generally located. The bottom links are much easier to read and click.

@Mad Hyena - I'd prefer Former Prides on the left purely because I'm right handed and it's easier to press buttons on the right side, for mobile anyway! It looks better with Former Prides on the right imo, but I also don't want to stretch my thumb that far to see heritage while I'm using my phone ^^;

After having checked out the layout on both mobile and desktop, I think I have a few ideas for how it feels to me on both

1: I like having the ability to change text size, but this still only does so much when so many seperate boxes cause me so much clutter and overwhelm. One big thing is the seperation of the appearance info: I believe that can be left as one wide box as it is without any issues, there is no button pressing related to it and the current box on mobile works just fine. If this is to make the markings more legible to mobile users with difficulty reading smaller text though I can understand it's use, I'd just prefer a setting of some kind that I can swap back to to combine the two, like the text size setting. I do however like the find a stud button on a lionesses page, and the nursing cubs page, although a bit strange and overwhelming at the moment, I think I could come to enjoy quickly since it's effectively just a more updated box of information which we already have.
2. The actions box feels semi unnecessary? Both mobile and pc, it makes me overwhelmed alongside everything else trying to find things, similar to a problem I have on the occassion I open wolvden and why I don't play it nearly as much. Having the marking slot and reveal fertility actions there is very strange compared to having reveal beside the fertility and the add markings in the appearance with the markings, I much prefer having them side by side with what the button interacts with and the 'sorting' feels very off.
3. The dark mode is Delightful, Although I would like some of the colors on all the bars visible on the site in normal day mode. Darker variants with the light white/gray text overtop would still work fine, but it can be hard trying to figure which bar is which at a glance, which I still struggle with on night mode over 2 years after joining. Overall dark mode IS a nice improvement for me though~

And 4. which some people have said, both desktop and mobile, is the Amount of Scrolling. Probably always been my biggest difficulty with mobile is all the scrolling up and down trying to find things, spamming the space bar on desktop to get to the bottom of pages, etc. and stacking All of these boxes makes yet another page that is harder for me to navigate, especially when on mobile and my hands aren't the most dexterous.
