You cross your fingers really tight, and pray to RNGesus :) There is no way to ensure the passing of a base. Here are the pass rates for special bases (excluding combo bases, and Mandarin and Kimanjano which are half unless a hybrid is used in the breeding): Special x Common: 1% Special x Uncommon, Rare: 2% Special x Special: 4% (2% per Special base) If you want the mother's base, you can use a Crunchy Worm to try and clone her, which is a 25% chance per litter.
