Ameris turned her head back towards him,tilting it to the side as if she was more curious on what he was talking about. It was probably the best choice to bring many bodyguards in a new continent,since many dangerous dragons roamed the lands,killing any dragon they were assigned to kill. "new resources?" Ameris asked,quite shocked about his comment about forming a good trade relation. New resources means new items to sell for a bit of money,anyone could get rich off of these resources that were foreign in the continent she lived on. She smiled,enjoying her small idea.

"I believe the trading stuff should be talked about with the queen here,not with me. I'm nowhere close to being royalty! If I was then I wouldn't be here to sell stuff all day,to some old,grumpy Sandwings that only know how to complain." Ameris said with a small laugh as she fixed her sail hair that was curled up at the end,making it hover slightly over her eye. "Tho,I'm super lucky to be talking with a prince!"

Chuvonor nodded shyly. While there were some monarchies back home that were strict matriarchies, he hadn't expected Pyrhhia to have strict matriarchies.
"I think I'm the lucky one here... to be humbled by the opportunity to meet new dragons like yourself... and while... on the surface... it would be wise to meet up with the nobility... from my dad's experience... he thinks it best to examine the heart of another kingdom... which is its dragons and people... not the head... which is its monarchies and rulers... in his experience, many bureaucrats only know how to legislate and make tariffs when it comes to new trade agreements..." Ameris blinked at his words,their dad seemed very wise..maybe that's where Chuvonor got his calm demeanor,it was shown when he had to deal with her own father and the situation was handled quickly. She perked her ears in interested,wanting to learn more about these new Royals. "Your father seems super wise,that's a good thing." She said with a small smile,the barb at the end of her tail swayed across the sand,forming a line. "but asking anyone else here for trading wouldn't be the best choice,most Sandwings here that sell stuff,isn't that trustworthy.." Ameris muttered before clearing her throat,to make sure to talk in a tone where he could hear.

"Tho,my own father taught me you had to be fair to the dragons that decide to buy the stuff you're selling. If you're fair then they'll come back and buy more stuff,perhaps." Ameris explained.

Chuvonor nodded in agreement, as he could see that some of the merchants were rather sketchy and dubious in character.
"Your dad is smart in that area... many merchants back home are a little more honest, making sure not to cheat their customers by tipping the scales... as for my dad... he's had many centuries of battles under his belt... he knows how to keep people happy under his rule... I'm still learning as the crown prince, however..." Chuvonor admitted shyly.

Ameris’s jet black eyes sparkled in interest about his father,amazed of how wise and kind this Royal King is. “He sounds like a good king,I bet he’s a good dad too.” She grinned towards him,noticing that he was a rather shy one but she didn’t seem to mind about it. She met many shy dragons,a few break out of their shell around her,perhaps that was her “Talent.”

“It’s okay that you’re still learning,everyone has to before they rule a whole kingdom. you’ll be great at it!” Ameris cheered,trying to encourage the young prince. “Don’t be so shy either,sir. You’re doing great already,I mean you stopped my own father from going all crazy. That’s a good sign,”

Chuvonor smiled warmly as Ameris said that she suspected that Xavrinthan was a good father as well as a good thing, as well as advised him not to be so shy about running the operation of establishing a good and amicably founded colony, as given how he and his bodyguards had halted Tegu from trying to attack him, he was already doing a good job. If only she knew the real reason for his timidity...

"Th... Thanks, miss... um... might I ask... what foods SandWings like yourselves eat... cooked or otherwise? I'd rather try and be more open to what Pyrhhia has to offer rather than superimpose the foods of Grysalvi on the dragons of Pyrhhia..." Chuvonor asked, rightly figuring that partaking in the things that the SandWings did would help move amicability between the Ice Dragons and SandWings further along.

Ameris fell silent in thought,thinking on what to tell the prince. She shuffled her feet into the sand as she began to speak,in a kind tone. "Dragons here in Pyrhhia eat different things,depends on which tribe you was born in." Ameris started to explain. "Us Sandwings eat many things here in the desert! We eat camels,lizards but they're only roasted in the Sandwing palace kitchen,so we rarely have that." She frowned. "but we also cook some of our food like dried figs,biscuits,dried dates and fruits. Some say we eat antelope,which we do but..we rarely find them." Ameris sighed before dipping her head,flicking a ear.

"We also drink cactus cinder,it's really good! And agave nectar in things called,"flagons,". She finished,lifting her head back up,her eyes never leaving his.

Chuvonor smiled warmly as he listened to the quaint yet delectable options Ameris gave him, saddened by the fact that the royalty of the SandWings hogged the better options, much like other monarchies where he was from did the same.
"Well... I can definitely give them a try, miss... I'm glad... and rather humbled... you're being so kind and accommodating to me..." Chuvonor admitted shyly, swishing his tail in a shy and polite manner.

Ameris blushed slightly at his words,glancing away a bit in embarrassment but it was shaken off either quickly. She looked back at him,nodding. “Every dragon should be nice to each other,hm. Tho,I never asked for your name,dear prince.” Ameris laughed before extending her hand towards him,her head tilting to the side. “The name is Ameris,nice to meet you.”

Chuvonor smiled shyly as Ameris introduced herself, starting out by saying that all dragons should be nice to each other, before asking for his name. He blinked in surprise, realizing that Ameris might not have heard the herald announce his name.
"Oh... um... it's Chuvonor... Chuvonor Matthias Grysalvi... nice to meet you, miss Ameris... Oh! In case you're wondering... how we know what your race of dragon is called... those sailors I said had found Pyrhhia... heard other dragons call your race SandWings..." Chuvonor said shyly.
"My liege, a few of the SandWings we've been talking with have arranged a place for us to establish camp, and are also arranging for building materials to begin construction of the first neighborhoods." One soldier said.

Ameris laughed in his response in a teasing yet friendly manner,his shyness made her heart beat a lot faster than usual,maybe because she was happy or something she knew she never felt yet. “Nice to meet you,Prince Chuvonor.” Ameris replied,her tail lifted up and curled up,making sure the barb on the end didn’t hit any dragon around.

She was about to speak again until one of the Royal Ice dragon soldiers came over to the prince,speaking to him. Ameris blinked,deciding not to be disrespectful.

Ameris thought for a quick second before shaking her head slightly in response. She huffed quietly,not really knowing how to answer the question given to her. “Well..I think on why we’re called Sandwings is because our scales blend in well with the desert,and perhaps our markings.” Ameris stated with a small chuckle.

“and why are you called Royal Ice dragons? That sounds rather..” Ameris paused for a quick second before speaking. “Odd,I never heard of y’all before.”

"Well... we're a variant of normal Ice Dragons... we're called Royal because we are far more in tune with the powers of our element than normal Ice Dragons are. We're also called that... because of the gems that naturally grow in our heads... which also serve to show the strength of our powers... the more like blue ice these gems are in their color, the stronger our powers... and given that mine is the exact same shade of blue as some of the glaciers in the northernmost parts of Grysalvi... my ice powers are quite strong, indeed... my dad thinks that I may even... be stronger than him when it comes to my ice powers..." Chuvonor admitted bashfully, knowing that his effeminate rear end and one other mutation on his body in the same area dwindled that fact in the eyes of many dragons back in Grysalvi...
