┊Backstory ┊

- Was born into a massive kingdom. His parents died during a war against enemy prides. He was one of the orphans raised by the baron with his sister.
- He was to be a warrior but his sister loved nature
- One day his baby sister ran into the dark woods and got lost. He went after her, disobeying the barons orders.
- As a five month old, it was hard to find her but he found her fighting off coyotes. He joined her but their numbers were too great and they got overwhelmed.
- A king named GoldiLocks saved them and took them in.
- He adopted them and introduced him to his new family
- His new pride lived in the muddy swamps and they all were friendly and kind (goblincore)
-Since they saved him and his sister he wanted to repay them, and being the only one who actually trained to fight he became a very important member of the pride. Even though some saw him as useless since they never were involved with wars or anything. They were too small of a pride- and they definitely were no kingdom. Just a small village of lions.
- Everything was peaceful and it was nice compared to his old life. But he still trained. Hoping one day to help his adoptive father to the best of his abilities.
- at age 1 he was chosen a new role. "Defender" He was assigned to protect the Kings and the Queens of the pride.
- The king was young but he was a terrible king. He loved his people but he was bad at the responsiblities of being a king. So his search for a heir became his goal pretty quickly.
- He offered the role to Mordecai but Mordecai quickly turned it down. He didnt want that kind of attention.
- A few months later a stranger approaches the pride beaten and scarred, claiming he was a warrior escaping a war his people lost. His fur was a bright green with white patches covering his muscular body. The whole pride LOVED him and immediately offered him to stay for a bit. But something about him was off and Mordecai hated him.
- After the newcomer came, so did a great virus. It infected almost all the lions and either killed them or sent them caveridden for days.
- It infected the king but he got over it pretty quick but was extremely weak afterwards
- It infected two other pride members and killed them
- Then the one thing Mordecai loved the most got sick. His sister.
- Mordecai was devasted and found a few traveling lions to take her to a pride known for healing lions. She left with them and he got more prone to violence and started hating everyone. Including the king
- The king decided to make the decision to king the stranger, Cuhaso.
- Cuhaso was oddly very delighted to become king. Mordecai saw the red flags but nobody listened
- The night Cuhaso was kinged a storm took over the pride and trees were ripped from the ground and thrown about. But Mordecai knew the cause.
- Mordecai rushed past the storm and eventually got to Cuhaso
- As soon as he saw Cuhaso, Cuhaso was overwhelmed with dark power, green smoke coming from his mouth and eyes and Mordecai attacked him.
- Cuhaso throws Mordecai off and snarls to him that he was the reason for the sicknesses and that he killed his sister and will kill everyone else.
- Mordecai snarled back an insult, calling him a murderer and not a warrior, before attacking him, trying to kill him
- After a fight Mordecai is beaten but before Cuhaso could kill him he falls to the ground
- The evil that possessed Cuhaso's body broke out as a massive smilus. The smilus, Mordecai instantly recognized. This lion was in all of his history books from the orphanage. The first king of his kingdom. A king that was overcome with power and soon killed by his own heir.
- The dead king locked eyes with Mordecai then started killing the pride who was too stunned and beat by the storm to fight back, other defenders quickly tried to protect the pride but they were just cubs and quickly murdered. Five members of the pride fell and Mordecai managed to stand despite his wounds and attack the demon. The demon quickly beat him then while he was dying a flash cut through the territory and everything stopped.

-Years pass and everything was frozen in place.
-His sister, Karuli, wasnt dead. She was alive and she grew to be a strong lioness. She lived within a jungle full of fairies.
-But Karuli missed her brother and never heard from him. It broke her heart that he never came to visit or to see that she overcame the sickness. So one night she decided to confront him. But as soon as she approached the territory she instantly knew something was wrong. There was a massive storm, the winds frozen in place and the clouds forever black. She stepped through the ruins of the forest, trees scattered her old home and fear struck her heart. Then she spotted him.
-Mordecai was frozen in place but she heard his heart beating. She ran into the forest, searching hard for the Owl Mother. An ancient forgotten goddess that was known to help people's souls.
-She found her and she brought her and Mordecai's soul to another realm where they could talk
-Mordecai was very relieved she was alive but she wanted to save him. And even though he commanded her not to, knowing what she would do, she didnt care.
-The owl goddess told her of one of her sisters. A god with no gender that was born of the moon. It lived in the cities of gold, accepting wishes from mortals of every species.
-She left and found this god and the god told her if she found a vessel identical to Mordecai it could transfer his soul into it.
-Karuli found a perfect vessel and gave it to the owl goddess and it transferred Mordecai's soul into it but during the process his tail was misformed and now he has two tails and he can never grow taller than his vessels current age. Aka an adol.
-The price Karuli had to pay killed Mordecai inside. At any point that god could take over her body and use it for war or anything else. But what has been done has been done.

-Mordecai went back to live with Karuli and now works for the fairy king, Little Atticus, as a defender. But everyday he works to getting his old pride back. As he aged he realized Cuhaso was just being used and he promised to bring him back like he was brought back.
-This fairy pride was laid back as well and it really reminded him of his old home.
-He struggled a little with adjusting to their customs, as they only ate the berries and fruits of the jungle and fish of the sea. But he respected it and didnt see the problem of switching his diet. It was for his sister after all.


┊Current Life and Future Life┊

-He found his adopted sister, Everlee's, Siblings and quickly adopted them. Making them his apprentices.

-Future- (You can just summarize if you want since it hasnt happened yet)
Atticus was retired and a new kinged was kinged. He was named Little Elowen and Mordecai instantly liked him. They became best friends and they have a small crush on each other. But they dont have time for being mates just yet. Monsters in the jungle made Elowen come to the desicion to leave and find a new home. And with Mordecais help he trains the lions and they leave.
-They find the home of the fairies ancestors and decide to stay, creating their own small kingdom that quickly grows.
- Mordecai and Elowen together bring back Cuhaso and Cuhaso helps them bring everyone else back
