The leopon mut works so that male leopons are functionally mutation-less in everything other than appearance, and can only breed to very specific lionesses (goddess fertility). The mut only passes down from female leopons, and all female leopons except for first generation leopons have a 5% chance of passing the mutation. First gens have a 10% chance.

CRBs may kill a leopon cub if you're breeding a leopon and a leopon is rolled! CRBs only increase the chance of random mutations, and have nothing to do with helping leopons/hybrids pass. You may get very lucky and roll a random first gen by using CRBs on regular lionesses, but using it on hybrids themselves are discouraged since it doesn't increase the chance of rolling a hybrid.

Your best bet is to use a buffalo scrotum to increase the number of cubs the pon will have, thus maximizing the probability of a cub rolling as a pon!

Only female leopons have a chance to pass it, and the chance is 10% per cub for 1st gen leo and 5% chance for further gen leopons. The only thing you can do to is use buffalo scrotum for the most cubs. NO items increase the chance of leopon to pass, cotton root bark doesnt and no other breeding items do.

Correct for all passable mutations - GMO cow does NOT increase chances of a mutation to pass, it only makes chances of a random mutation to appear higher. Random mutation can be any mutation from the pool, and mother's mutation (or lack of one) does not affect it in any way.

GMO cows do work, and are recommended to use. They roll AFTER the hybrid chance, which means that even if the breeding fails, you may at least get a cool mut and won't be fully let down.
