Hello everyone, I'm sorry to say that I'm discontinuing my commissions here. I, and others, have had long running issues with Liodens moderation, overbearing rules, and lack of consistency when imposing those rules onto others. Liodens rules on their artists continue to become more and more strict as time passes. And it simply isn't worth it to be walking on a tightrope 24/7 hoping I'm not breaking a new rule, or worrying about one of the moderators having a bad day and taking issue with something on my forum or within my commissions themselves. On top of that, each moderator seems to interpret and enforce rules to a different degree. Which makes it difficult to NOT be anxious about being an artist on this website.

I am also choosing to do this because of my disappointment and frustration with the current state of Lioden, its treatment of artists, and the treatment of its overall player base - on top of its staff consistently showing lack of compassion, and even awareness, for its community and their wants, I will no longer be available for public Lioden commissions. Both for my art and HTML codes. Many long-time players are exhausted, and that exhaustion has caught up to me as well - it simply isn't worth it anymore. I no longer want my creative efforts to be put towards this website. I'm sorry to all who have enjoyed my art and who have supported me this far, but I will only be available for USD commissions or Lioden commissions from friends/regulars who already have my contact information, from this point on. If something significantly changes for the better, maybe I'll be back in the future, but history has not shown that as happening.

A few specific events are what have pushed me to leaving the art community here, and I feel it would be best to share that with all of you.

The first run in I had with Liodens moderators was one taking down one of my forums and stating that artists Are no longer allowed to sell anything that is not a 100% original creation made by them, in the sense that we are not allowed to use free assets in our works. However, this restriction doesn’t apply to Liodens other creative sales, such as code creators because they aren’t directly selling the art and assets being used in their codes - despite the majority of these codes using art and or assets that do NOT fall under free use. In this sense, where does that rule end? are we not allowed to use brushes made by anyone else? stamps, backgrounds, other free assets? even WITH explicit permission from the maker?

On top of this, artists are not allowed to use F2U or P2U bases without the maker commenting on their forum - or without some kind of message from the maker on very specific messaging apps/websites. The problem that lies within this is; what if that user doesn't have a Lioden account? how are artists supposed to get a comment on their forum by a person without a Lioden account? Not only this, but 90% of the bases I've seen having to be taken down are made by artists who haven't been on the internet in 2+ years. So, if you've paid 5+ dollars for the rights to a base, and the original artist goes offline without giving you explicit permission either on Lioden or on some other 'trusted' platform, you will be unable to use that base without being given a strike to your account, your forum taken down, and having to refund anyone who's bought from you.

These are, of course, a few of many examples of this double standards and issues within Liodens rules.
