I wish we could pick which quest type we get, though I'm not sure if it'd be fair or balanced or whatever. But since hunting quests give WAY more exp than any other quest, that's the quest I want to take. I keep getting freaking fighting quests that I don't do because I don't fight enemies that aren't event specific.

Fighting quests give cumulatively more total EXP. Because you're not only getting the EXP from fights, but it also scales the reward if you defeat more. And the difficulty of the enemy also increases total quest reward, with Rhinos, Hippos, Sharks and Elephants rewarding the most. I think it awards something like 5k to 6,600 total EXP between enemies fought and quest reward if you do one of those at level 16+

Just for clarification. I definitely only want to do the fighting quests and if I could pick those myself, I would. But I understand why we can't pick.

Since I hoard exp bars until high value event months (February!!), I don't get more than maybe 30 exp per enemy fought most of the time. So for me they're not very lucrative I'm afraid! x) If I'm still high leveled in March I'll definitely put in some more effort on those quests as I don't care to grind the event that month.
