Aquila had sighed as she stood a short distance from her herd watching everyone. There was foals frolicking and playing, mares gossiping, and well that was pretty much it. There wasn't anything exciting within her herd anymore. It was the same thing every day, and no matter how much she wanted to go outside of the herd, she never could. Every attempt she'd made she had gotten caught. Mainly either by her mother or the lead stallion. Why was it so important that she had to stay within the herd.

"You're not thinking what I think you're thinking are you?" a sudden voice had spoken behind Aquila causing the mare to slightly jump before realizing it was her friend Esra. The only one within the herd she trusted and really spoke to openly.

"You should know me by now Esra. Don't you ever get bored of doing the same thing every day? There's nothing fun anymore. It's not like I'm leaving the herd forever. It'd just be nice to go on a run for once and explore a little while doing it. Especially without having Hinto with me. I shouldn't need an escort or protection." she said with a small snort as she looked around once more.

Esra only shook her head some, "One day I hope you understand why the herd has to stick together. It's for the better. Besides you may very well get lost, and never see us again. I'd never see you again. Your mother would go nuts. I know you know that." she said before laying eyes on Hinto, "Well he is a rather fine looking stallion..."

Aquila only rolled her eyes, "Oh please I have no interest in any stallion. Especially Hinto. He's always getting onto me like everyone else, and don't get me started on my mother." she said before laying eyes on her mother who was on the opposite side of the herd grazing.
