No -Important Character Details (personality): He is fluffy, has a more squared off snout in comparison to his 2nd ref. Happy go lucky kind of guy who likes nature and a hot cup of joe, can have an angry moment but not violent (hence the no blood) 1. What do you like most about the example image above? *insert knuckle crack* everything?? First off the linework and line weight is incredible, also in the absolute best way possible i absolutely love seeing so many familiar traits my character shares with the character in the example. The horizontal ears and horns, in addition to the tail tuft peaking out! The overall composition is amazing and coming from a sketchy style artist, clean solid linework is a guilty pleasure ✨👏 2. How can I improve the image above? Perhaps the addition to highlights (although i acknowledge this is a monochrome piece) to areas such as the horns, and what i am assuming is a tail of the same material as the horns (unless it is cloth wrapped) would bring a nice pop! 1 player likes this post! I’ve always secretly preferred monochromatic art over colored art (not to say I don’t like colored art too!) I always felt like you can visualize more texture in monochromatic pieces than having so many colors that can draw away the attention to texture. 2. How can I improve the image above? Perhaps make the shadows more defined, and I think a little bit of stippling in the shadow areas or where markings are can really make it pop! 0 players like this post! What do you like most about the example image above? I *really* enjoy your art style, and the dynamic-ness of the expression despite being a monochrome sketch! It's really nice to look at. 2. How can I improve the image above?
