๐ŸŒผ Complete January Guide ๐ŸŒผ

This guide is written as part of the official The NCL Agenda guide series. It is available to all players and is free to be shared wherever. While most of the information found in this guide can be found scouring the wiki, it is made to be more digestible and succinct. Hopefully, this guide serves as a more helpful response to specific questions than "read the wiki".

Welcome to the start of a new month! January is a relatively unexciting month. Unfortunately for it, it comes between December and February, two big-hitter months. However, it has some decor that I'm personally a big fan off, and due to the feeding mechanics, an easy month to take at a chill pace. Wanting to prepare for February? Use this month to gather experience and energy items.

January has a starvation and scavenger theme. There are two currencies this month, Leather Beetles and ol' reliable, Silver Beetles . Leather Beetles are obtained through explore like most other event currencies, while Silver Beetles, well, I think you have an idea. Because Silver Beetles are such a primary currency this month, we get to a witness a little thing called supply and demand. Economics lesson everyone! What do you get when suddenly there's a surge in demand for a good with finite supply? A crash in Golden Beetles prices of course. If you check GB sales in Oasis this month, you'll notice some scarily low GB prices. If you're a player with a steady stream of SB coming in, this isn't a bad month to play stock trader and buy low

*Note that this guide is not going to contain every encounter or every thing you can buy/craft. It is intended to be a quicker, more condensed read than just scrolling through the wiki

๐ŸŒผ Food Pit + Carrion Shop ๐ŸŒผ
Food Pit

The Food Pit is unlocked by donating uses of food, which can be done by selecting a carcass or stack of carcasses in your hoard and hitting "donate". At the Food Pit, you can then feed your lions for a fixed amount of hunger. You can only feed each lion once per day, but you are able to feed as many lions as you want. As a result, despite starvation being a theme this month, your lions will be quite well fed. Donating more carcasses unlocks more tiers, but even at tier 1 you'll be able to keep your girls happy

Tier One fills 20% hunger
Tier Two fills 40% hunger
Tier Three fills 60% hunger

Carrion Shop
The Carrion Shop is unlocked by defeating event-related NPCs in explore and has four tiers. All items in this shop are bought with SB. Decors tend to be around a couple hundred SB, while the applicators are going to be a couple thousand each. Note that there are no "money maker" items this month. Here are some items that can be held onto for profit in later months, but not tremendously so

Lion Meat

2000

*note that Lion Meat can also be found in the Boneyard for event currency instead

Mutie On Demand: Overgrown Fur

4000

๐ŸŒผThe Boneyard ๐ŸŒผ
The Boneyard

The Boneyard is where you can spend your hard-earned Leather Beetles. There are three tiers, and these tiers are unlocked in conjunction with the tiers of the Carrion Shop and Food Pit. You can choose to either dig or donate to randomly reveal three items. Digging costs energy and donating costs skulls/bones.

Once you have a selection of items you like, you can simply stop digging or donating. That selection of items will remain. There are decor and backgrounds that are exclusive to either digging or donating, but the "valuable" items of the Boneyard can be revealed with either. Additionally, all of these items are available at the lowest tier. Therefore, I recommend cycling through your Boneyard as soon as it opens if you have one of these items in mind. Here's what I recommend nabbing:

Giant Tortoise

20 LB

Lion Meat

100 LB

Mutie on Demand: Primal

201 LB

Additionally, there are a lot of really nice bone and skull decors in the higher tiers! If you're a decor collector, this is a good month to grab some pretty ones
