Hey there, I am looking to breed a specific special base (Abyssinian) and im not sure i understand genetics just right. Am I right in thinking breeding specials in its color and rarity groups (gold dark countershaded special) has a chance at it occurring, even if neither parent has that specific special base? A little confused by the wiki. Another question to anyone who would be looking, will this special base chance also mean breeding him to say a gold medium countershaded special give me a chance too? Hey, I'm not entirely sure I understand your question, but I'll explain what I think you're asking. Correct me if I'm wrong. Non-combo special bases have a flat rate to pass. Staying in a certain genetics group will not help you. A special base has a 2% chance to pass when paired with a different special, a rare base, or an uncommon base. A special has a 1% chance to pass when paired with a common base. A special has a 4% chance to pass when paired with a combo base that it's not a factor for. So, your best chance to pass Abyssinian is breeding with another Abyssinian or any combo base since it's not a factor for anything at this point. These two would give you a 4% chance. Yes sorry that would be a waste of time LOL! You need an Aby parent, and if you want the best passing chance, breed the Aby parent with a combo base or other Aby! 0 players like this post! Like? |
