I'm so sorry if this isn't the right area to post but I don't know where else to ask really and I can't find the answers I'm looking for.

So I have an heir that will be next and he's a smilus (I plan to get labradorite base when I can). I am aware smilus is a male only mutation, but when I breed a smilus with any female is there the chance you can get a random primal mutation? For example, if I bred him to a ferus or normal primal are the chances the same but with a randomized primal type instead of only a smilus?

So it looks like a smilus kings inherently has the capability to produce all primal variations but there's no specific boost to producing smilus, felis or ferus (without items).

for example:
Smilus king x lioness = technically any mutation but inherent chance of primal, primal (smilus) & primal (felis)

Smilus king x Primal or primal (felis) = same odds as above as primal & primal (Felis) lioness don't increase odds

Smilus king x Primal (Ferus) =Higher odds of producing primal cubs over all with the addition of being possible to produce smilus, felis & furus (rather than just smilus & felis)

bare in mind that without items the odds of producing primal variations aren't boosted anymore then random chance when producing primal cubs in general

extra- I am famously terrible at explaining things & I don't know the specific roll order for primal variations but i hope this helps in some way; the description for pennyroyal isnt ideal but essentially;

with pennyroyal odds of rolling smilus & felis onto a primal cub is increased, for ferus i 'think' you only get the boost for ferus when BOTH parents are ferus.
so if you used it for Smilus x Ferus, you would get the boost for smilus & felis but odds of getting ferus will be present (from mother) but not boosted in any way.

Thank you so much for explaining, also you did explain this pretty well so you're alright! I'm returning after a year or so and I decided I wanted to try and make a pride of primals only or at least work on that. I'm kind of excited for Aslan as my first and current king is now 14 years old. Hopefully I can get the labradorite dust and other apps needed in spring for him.
