My king is getting older, so Iβve begun preparing what Iβd like my next king to look like - but Iβve got a few questions that I havenβt been able to find a clear answer on in what Iβve read so I figured I would try asking here! First question - I saw somewhere that when you're retiring your king, there is a way to transfer his markings to the new king if you want to keep the old kings appearance. How does this work? Does it take the heir you choose and apply the same base, eyes, mane, etc. to the new heir? Or does it just apply the markings the last king had to the new heir? Would it erase the markings the new heir already has? Im very confused about the whole process, and cant quite find the answers to these in my research so far. If anyone could explain how this process works, I would greatly appreciate it. I also saw someone said, it wouldn't transfer the fathers mutation. (Example - a Ferus) So if I wanted to transfer his looks and found a lion that was already a Ferus, would that work out? To essentially make the heir the same as how the father was, or is there a problem here that Im not recognizing? Also! Another question I had - For an example, my king now has the marking Demonic Feralis, I have bred him countless times and also with lionesses with the marking as well. And in the results of all of his breedings he has only ever produced one cub with the marking. Ive started to wonder if it could be my fault that its not passing because of the marking slot I chose for it. I saw a thread talking about the mechanics of the fact that a marking has a better chance of passing if its the same slot on both male and female when breeding. And also something about conflicting marks in the same slot and the chances of each passing. But what Iβm wondering is - Is there any ideal slot to put a marking in to assure, or at least encourage it to pass along more than a different slot? For example - The marking in his first marking slot has passed countless times to his young, but I wouldn't want to put his best markings in slot 1 because they would inevitably be covered by all markings above it. If anyone has any advice on the manner, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to read this and respond <3 You guys are life savers 0 players like this post! 1, It keeps the entire look of your last king, so marks, base, skin, eyes, etc and replaces the look of your heir with that, it doesn't transfer mutation though so his mutation wouldn't be on the new king even if you kept his looks. :) (hopefully this helps!) 2. from what I am aware its just chance, some markings do have higher pass rates than others, such as rosettes passing less often than applicator marks. Having the same marking in the same slot for both parents does help as well, it could also be because of that marking being in a slot above 10 but I am not sure on that one so I may be wrong. 0 players like this post! Thanks so much for your help!!! :β) So, if I had a male ferus cub ready to use as my heir, and transfer my kings looks onto him - I could end up with my new king being a ferus with the old markings/base/etc? If Iβm reading this right! Or if I transfer the marks onto a ferus heir cub, will it remove the cubs mutation and turn him into a regular lion but with the marks/base/etc of the old king? Thank you again so much for your help! Ive been so stumped XD 0 players like this post! Like? |

If you transferred the kings looks onto a ferus heir it would keep the mutation of the heir and the looks of the king, so yes it would be the new king with ferus and all the old marks and base, etc :) 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 05/01/24 @ 12:42:46 by Siri (#408484) |
