Marvellous Mudstone!

Welcome to Marvellous Mudstone, a clan where lovers and collectors of the combo base MUDSTONE - and by extension, all it’s factors, notably the NCL specials - can congregate and collaborate with one another!

What is a combo base, and what is Mudstone?

Mudstone is one of 37 combo bases, which you can check out in the Wiki here. It can only be bred, and not applied with an applicator (breed only), which is typically recognized as more challenging to obtain. To sum it up, a combo base is a special kind of base that is produced by breeding two parents of specific bases to each other (a combo, as the name implies). In the case of Mudstone, these bases would be:
FACTOR A: Asali, Mobola, Maziwa
FACTOR B: Flint, Slate
COMBO: MUDSTONE
So, breed any Factor A to any Factor B (or A/BxMudstone) for the chance at Mudstone! That is to say, you could take your freshly claimed Maziwa wench from explore, and stud her to any Flint, Slate, or Mudstone stud.

What makes Mudstone so good?

• Accessible: Asali, Mobola, Maziwa are all claimable in explore as NCLs, or can be easily purchased from the trading centre for usually no more than 300SB. This also makes Mudstone more easily mass-bred! Not to mention, even for beginners, there are tons of affordable, low-gen Flint, Slate & Mudstone studs to choose from.

• Uncommon: September update: Up to 29 Mudstone kings in 2024, 11 of which are open for studding!

As of January 20th, there are 19 Mudstone kings active in 2024, 15 of which are available for studding. *UPDATE* As of April 11th, there are now 25 Mudstone kings active in 2024, 16 of which are available for studding.

• A unique base/colour palette: You ever wanted to forget your inhibitions and roll around in the mud? You can with Mudstone! There’s only a few bases that (subjectively) match the colour palette/vibes of Mudstone in the often overlooked cream/gold colour groups (a couple of which include Pecora, Sahara).

We host (at minimum) monthly raffles, some of the prizes having included:
• BO-heavy Mudstone factor lionesses
• THE MUDSTONE HER/HIMSELF!
• Decor and applicators
• Breeding/special use items

I’ve also found the Mudstoner community to talk and collaborate with one another, helping each other with their own projects, or on one together as a team. Several members including the mighty Bogtrot himself offer discounted studding, and it’s frankly a really active, fun group to be apart of!

There are no monthly fees or requirements to be a part of the clan - the only condition is that you're a lover of Mudstone, its factors, gold/cream colour groups, or even combo breeding in general!

And, on a personal note, YOU MAY NOT LIKE IT, BUT MUDSTONE IS THE IDEAL BASE. THIS IS WHAT PEAK PERFORMANCE LOOKS LIKE - with that being said, we’re also all about our gold/cream specials too! While it may not be Mudstone, we also celebrate our beautiful combo “fails” such as our NCL specials & bases such as Goridhe, Honey, and more.
