I won't make a whole ass guide because there are many well-written, in-depth ones made by other players that are way better than mine would be. However, there are a few things I rarely see mentioned in other event guides. They are mostly just niche bits of information that may help you scrape up a few extra energy during events! SEPTEMBER 30 minute cooldown to visit player dens If you are unable (or unwilling!) to set an actual 30 minute timer to visit other players dens to clear locusts, which gives 1 JB each time you do it, you can sync it to each time you send your lions out to hunt! Feel free to send only 1 or 2 lions at a time if you don't have enough hunters to send out a full party more than 10 times in a day. YEAR ROUND 1. Roasted Lambs I wrote a suggestion post a while ago regarding this, but I'll add a small TL;DR here. Most people are aware of what Roasted Lambs do - they double your energy regeneration for 8 hours. But what some people may not know is that the time you use them is VERY important. Each lamb loses a 'tick' of energy at the start of each hour. That means that if you use a lamb at 4:59, when 5:00 rolls around you'll only have 7 hours of lamb remaining. 2. Energy regen "creep" I as well as a couple other players have noticed the timer for energy regeneration seems a bit off. The energy is not quite regenerating at an exact 15-minute interval. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to track exactly how far off it is, but I do know that after about 10 hours I'll notice like a 7 minute difference in when I should be regenerating energy. This is not a huge issue on its own, but can result in losing a potential energy when combined with Roasted Lambs. Below the spoiler I have included a visual representation of what I'm referring to: Due to these two things, it's best to use your Roasted Lambs so that the regeneration starts as close to the top of the hour as you can, but with enough wiggle room to actually be able to eat the lamb before your energy regenerates. You can eat two at once for a total of 16 hours of doubled energy regeneration, so if you have enough time and lambs, definitely do so! Gorilla Enclave quest cooldown The Gorilla Enclave difficult quests give you 60% energy, so you'll want to do them every day! Sadly, the cooldown doesn't reset at rollover which can make it somewhat tricky to remember exactly when you can take another one again. It resets when you TAKE the quest, not when you COMPLETE the quest, so I recommend everyone take a quest on the last day of the previous month and make sure you can get a cub that fills the requirements ahead of time, then complete the quest when the "important" event begins to get 60% energy. Then once the cooldown resets, you can take another quest the same day! Make sure to complete it before the cooldown resets 24 hours after taking the previous one or you'll miss out. Also ensure you don't buy an 11 month old cub if you plan to do this, as it will age up to an adolescent when you roll over the following day and will no longer be valid for your quest. Candid personality vs Hyperactive Both of these personalities are absolutely your best choices for February due to the energy they provide. Hyperactive is the most versatile as it's a flat 30% energy for anyone, so it's definitely not a bad choice! Especially if you plan to use Hyena Butters, which will reduce the number of claiming encounters to give event encounters a bit more of a boost. But I'm a diehard Candid fan! Candid is also available for 400 SB with the Sangoma Lion Mask, just like Hyperactive. It gives +3% energy for each NCL you claim. Combined with 1-2 Roasted Lambs, last year I was getting a minimum of 20 NCLs on each account - oftentimes it was more than that. 3% x 20 NCLs = 60% energy, double that of Hyperactive! If you have the territory capacity to hold a fair amount of the lionesses you'll claim throughout the day, it's overall going to give you more energy. Explore Zones Waterhole (level 31+) has an encounter that gives +35% energy, but that's too high of a level for most players to reach. So the next best option has to be Tropical Forest (level 6-10) which has a +5% energy encounter as well as a +1% energy encounter! A lot of people have either been saving exp to level up or have already leveled up to at least level 6, so it's easy enough to get to as well. MAY 1 hour cooldown for tournaments Since there aren't any notifications when you can reenter tournaments after the hour is up, patrol a submale at the same time. When your sub comes back from patrolling, you'll be ready to do another tournament! Ehh, maybe a work in progress? I'll add more as I think of them. 13 players like this post! Like? OH QUESTION!!! Is it true a lot of encounters don't actually enter the explore pool/whatever it'd be called until tier 3?? I saw that on another guide somewhere and I'd never heard that before and they didn't elaborate, so now I'm wondering WHAT encounters those are, and why they don't come out until t3.. 0 players like this post! UPDATE AFTER DAY ONE CANDID IS INCREDIBLE. Background: I have about 10-15 spaces free on each account I have claimed, every two or three hours, at least 10 NCLS! I have WAYYYY more than made up (probably doubled it by now) hyperactive's boost on both accounts! 1 player likes this post! Like? |

Update before going to bed day 1: I have claimed around 30 NCLs on each account in batches of about a dozen per energy bar, I've basically had an entire hyperactive boost PER ENERGY BAR lol. I currently have 470 HS between both accounts (230 for one 240 the other). I have used a bone marrow today per account, gorilla quest per account, flirted and slapped almost every fifteen minutes (think I lost a few there between the both accounts), and am about to use my free energy bar on both accounts (I double lambed one account and single lambed the other, those are the only items I have used today) VERY successful day This topic is now going to be my love of candid, stated every day. ππ 1 player likes this post!
