Flirt Shop


The Flirt Shop has 3 tiers opened by flirting with other players' lionesses, with most of its big ticket items in tier 3. It takes Heart Shells, and also had a "lucky dip" feature that gives you a random background or item. I recommend avoiding the lucky dip unless you're a decor enthusiast. Here's what you should be keeping your eye on:

Grain of Paradise

30 Heart Shells - guarantees at least 2 cubs in a litter

Yohimbe Bark

30 Heart Shells - shortens a lioness' breeding cooldown by 1 day

Buffalo Scrotum

60 Heart Shells - guarantees at least 3 cubs in a litter

Now, everyone is focused on breeding items - but what about all the applicators, decors, and backgrounds? Due to the nature of February, most people ignore everything but the breeding items. Therefore, it may be wise to grab a couple non-breeding items from the shop, as they tend to reach high prices due to the limited supply. One time, I went to buy a Merlot markings applicator - and the cheapest one was 60 ! Note that these do sell slower, so I do still recommend mainly grabbing breeding items. Slap Shop


The Slap Shop has 3 tiers opened by slapping kings who dare flirt with your lionesses and also takes Heart Shells. The Slap shop has one big ticket item: Lion Scrotums.

80 Heart Shells - gives you a 25% chance (5% for DU) of passing down a lioness' mutation

Some of the decors, particularly the expressions and event scars can sell for quite a bit later on, but I find them not to be as popular as the Flirt Shop items

🌼 Optimal Exploring 🌼
Getting the Most Bang for your Buck

Since February is so explore-focused, you want to make sure your bars of energy are being used wisely. The most important thing is to try and prevent your energy bar from ever becoming full. Seeing it around 70-80%? Time to hit the savannah. Additionally, do not fight this month. RIP if you're trying to grind experience, but each fight costs you 10 energy, which is typically around 1-2 February encounters. This includes February-exclusive combat encounters. These combat encounters simply do not net enough Heart Shells to be worth the 10% energy. You are much better off skipping them, where you will be likely to find an equivalent interaction-based encounter.

If you want to increase the number of February encounters, you can use Hyena Butter for 100 from Monkey Business. Hyena Butter will repel NCLs, meaning fewer NCL encounters = more February encounters



Many players also choose to turn off stud requests during February, or at the very least increase both price and fertility. You do not want to be dealing with a 1% fertility request during February. Personally, I bump my fertility up to 35% minimum and bump my price by 50 . But this is entirely up to you!

Energy Boosting Items

Of course, why worry about preserving energy when we can just make more energy! There are numerous energy boosting items. Let's get into them

Energy Boost

2 in Oasis for a full energy bar - the holy grail as its unlimited exploration if you have the funds

Meat Pies

effectively just multiple Energy Boosts in one item for convenience; NEVER buy for more than 2 /use

Roasted Lamb/Red Bull

both work the same; doubles your energy regeneration rate for 8 hours, giving you a couple extra energy bars - use at the top of the hour, only recommended if you can keep up with the energy

Coffee Beans

reduces how much energy you spend for each step in explore on average, giving you more encounters/bar; highly recommended if you plan on using multiple Energy Boosts in one go

Fermented Marula Fruit

gives you either -10% or +10% energy; total gamble, use only when you're already at low energy

🌼 Flirting + Slapping 🌼
Flirting and Slapping


Once every 15 minutes, you have the ability to flirt with a random lioness. If you remain undetected, you will receive 1 Heart Shell. Of course, other kings aren't going to accept such shenanigans. Much like how you can flirt, if someone else flirts with your lioness, you can slap them away. If another player attempts to slap you away, there's a chance you end up with nothing, but there's also a chance you persevere and are rewarded with 1-3 Heart Shells! If you succeed as the slapper, you instead will also receive 1-3 Heart Shells. Therefore, it is very important to flirt and slap other kings away, as you can earn Heart Shells for both.

Many players will set up 15 minute "flirt timers" as to maximize their number of flirts they get in. Those extra Heart Shells add up!

February Eyes
Ok, yes, I told you earlier that it is a good idea to reduce the amount of NCL encounters you get. But if you're a cultured NCL enjoyer, you may be willing to take that hit for those sweet sweet event NCLs. Once Tier 3 of the Flirt Shop opens, you're going to find NCLs with special eyeballs. These eyes are both fully Breed Only AND super super pretty. Here's what you can find!
