With all due respect, it is not the job of the auctioneer to keep track of bids of players. We have to keep track of an entire auction, updating bids and making sure everything is copacetic.

Players are capable of going up to the auction, looking at lions they've bid on or just searching the page with their ID # to see what bids they have and how much they are. That is the player's job. I keep track of my own bids on other's auctions. I expect players to keep track of their own on mine.

I don't mind occasional updates if things have gotten hectic because I'm human and I've certainly lost bids in the chaos before, but come on, guys...

ReminderBidding Before Buying

Going forward, I've added a rule that no new bids will be accepted if trades from former auctions have not yet been bought out. I've made a comment about this before and stated it as a friendly reminder but it is now in my rules.

Please understand that this can come across as intentionally costing me income and it makes me wary if the bids made before buying out previous trades will also be bought out come time.

I hate coming off as strict, but this has been an issue for a little while. I am *always* willing to work with players. If something comes up and you can't buyout in time or whatnot, please, please, please...message me and we can work something out.

Flexing Reminder

It has been brought to my attention from several players that a certain 'tactic' being used in my auction - and in others, as I've had this used against me in the past - is killing the joy of participating in bid wars.

I do understand that flexing is a legit tactic to use when trying to dissuade others from continuing their bids but as a lot of players in my auction are new or returning players, it's just in poor taste. If you have it, bid it. Don't talk about it.

For now, this will remain a 'Reminder' but if it continues, I will make it a rule. I like my auction to be a fun place to go for some friendly back and forth. (Love the popcorn comments - just don't clog too much!) Let's keep it that way, yeah?
