Knotte let out a rumbling laugh at King Aleafy and HeartStong's comments, looking around the clearing with fond eyes. "I suppose it does seem crowded from the outside looking in! Believe it or not, this isn't all of our pride. We've got two other denning areas about this size, they simply house specific lions. This is our Main Camp, so it stays populated during the day," She explained, watching as a squealing cub took a running jump into the pond. A furious lioness stomped over and snatched up the giggling bundle of wet fur, scolding him firmly. Knotte chuckled gruffly, returning her attention to the group. "You might be able to spot some lions from the other denning areas roaming around to visit. Dog Days is usually here if you remember her. She sleeps in the "Doghouse", as we call it." The lioness rambled, visibly excited to be talking to lions outside of the pride.

"Anyway, it's a pleasure to meet you, Flowering River!" She said, blinking up at him. "Goodness, you are tall. I was hoping Tye would grow that big but as you can see he isn't too impressive in that sense." Tye opened his jaws in shock, ears pinned. He nearly stepped on a tiny frog that sat at his paws as he stomped closer to his mother, headbutting her shoulder with an offended grunt. She shushed him, staring at the submale with a challenging look. He glared at her but stayed quiet, returning his focus to the frogs that were trying to hop onto his back.

Knotte smiled down at OceanSorrows, ears perked with the infectious joy that the prince seemed to radiate. "Isn't it? I was in awe the first time I saw it too!" She purred, crouching down slightly to reach his level. "I saw you looking at the pond. Would you like to try fishing? It's a little tricky and requires patience, but I'm sure you could get the hang of it quickly! Tye can show you the ropes!" The older male let out a grunt of acknowledgment, trying to balance a frog on his muzzle with an extremely focused glare. It blinked at him before sticking its tongue directly into his eye, causing Tye to yelp in pain. He shook the frog off and pawed at his face with a scowl, muttering insults at the innocent-looking amphibian.

The lioness rolled her eyes at him with an entertained smirk. She leaned forward to whisper to the prince. "You might have to be patient, sometimes the sun doesn't shine very bright up there if you know what I mean," She chuckled, watching her son lecture the group of frogs with a completely serious look on his face. "I may have dropped him a bit too often as a cub."

Flowering River smiles gingerly at the compliment, it wasn't new for him to have lions comment on his size but it still flustered him a little when it happened.
"Fishing!?" OceansSorrow's eyes widen at the offer, his ears lifting. "That'd be so cool, I'd love to have a go". He seems to have wanted to say more, but the yelp from Tye catches his attention and he winches in sympathy.
The Prince looks up to his king, a hopeful look in his pink eyes. "Can I go fish with him?"
"Well.. we were going to discuss.." His sentence fades out, looking to Knotte then back to OceansSorrow's. She wouldn't have offered the fishing if the chatting could wait. "Sure, why not" He smiles. This would be a good chance for the Prince to make some connections with their new allies.
"Yus!" The Prince hops the few steps forward to Tye, being careful not to step on any stray frogs as he draws closer. "Hey there, I'm OceansSorrow's" He says cheerfully, introducing himself personally even though it had been done a few moments ago.
Aleafy looks to HeartStrong and Flowering River at his sides "I hate to be so forward, but while the boys fish, is there possibly a place we could have a short rest?"
HeartStrong nods in agreeance "We've been traveling since sunrise, I could do with a few moments of down time".
The Guard says, although he had claimed on being tired, his claws dug restlessly in and out of the earth beneath him, uprooting a few odd tufts of grass.
Flowering River, unlike his companions was looking around the camp, he hadn't said anything new and didn't look like he planned to. His blue eyes took in every detail, the reflections of everything around him showing in his dark, wide pupils.
