I've played a lot of games in my time, and have always enjoyed the economy in them. One thing with Lioden, is due to the sheer size of the game, there are lots of people who are undercutting drastically because either they don't care or are too new to really understand the value. I play World of Warcraft in my free time, and they recently added a feature to the Auction House, that is essentially "last in first out" and the price that defaults is whatever the last person set. So there is no hassle in setting your own price for things (the thing I know I hate doing is cross checking posts to make sure I'm not under or over pricing). This way, even the laziest people can just list their items and it essentially defaults to w/e the lowest prices are. Now, these are two wildly different games, so whether or not this sort of feature is physically possible, I have no idea. But it would be a nice thing to have, where essentially: Person A lists a gem for 50sb Person B puts the same gem in their branch, and it suggests the price to be 50sb It doesn't need to be set immediately, it can just be a suggestion, but it would basically be telling you "this is the current lowest price for this item!" Something I didn't mention though, about the AH in WoW, is that it does combine all sales at that price. So if there are 5 people listing 30 gems at 50sb per, you could actually buy X amount of gems, say 12 gems, at 50sb per in bulk, and it would pull from the most recently listed auction. I have it envisioned in my head to work on here, but at the same time, I am unsure hah. This does encourage people to, rather than undercutting, cancel and repost their items indefinitely until they sell, because like I said before - last in, first out. So the most recent post sells first. Which to me, isn't really a bad thing? I would prefer this over drastic undercuts happening constantly. As I am sure a lot of people would prefer!! It is not a bad thing to have a healthy economy run by players, where players set the prices, but I do think its bad when people are just ignorant to keeping the value in items. Note: This would not effect trading center, and would only effect branch listings. I think the TC is perfectly fine the way it is. |

As cool as it is, no support. I don't see a need for it when you can just search it up and look at prices yourself. Now this feature would make it far easier to set prices but the coding involved doesn't seem worth it tbh. Lioden is barely updating as it is, so unless a feature is really groundbreaking I generally just don't support them. Now should lioden ever push out bigger updates at a good rate? Would change to support. 0 players like this post! Like? |
