Once a month, during the full moon, the pride celebrates the Golden Hunt Festival. This event honors the skill and teamwork of the lionesses. The pride selects a challenging prey to hunt together, followed by a feast where they share the spoils and tell stories of past hunts and victories.

When the king chooses his queen, a significant and joyous event known as the Queen's Selection Rite is held. This ceremony takes place at sunset, symbolizing the union of the sun and the land. The king and his chosen queen stand before the pride, where they exchange vows of loyalty and partnership. The queen is adorned with a garland of acacia flowers and a necklace of sunlit stones, signifying her new role and the pride's respect and admiration.
