Let’s discuss these two new items and break down what they mean! Theres been a lot of misinformation and paranoia so I wanted to give my two cents: Leopard Tail (LT): Official Description: “Using this item will increase the chances of a rosette appearing if criteria are met for one.” What we get from this: -The grammar of the “if criteria are met” assumes that there are multiple different critera, or that there are multiple requirements for one “criteria”. What these requirements could be? We dont know. A lot of people speculate that they will keep it a secret but I personally think they’re gonna reveal it, or at least give us a hint. As for what the requirements will actually be? I have some ideas: -Having a leopon in their heritage -Having an existing rosette in their heritage -Having the base tied to the rosette “etc bushveld base for bushveld rosette” -That being said, im assuming mottled rosette will NOT be able to be randomly bred with a LT, and a LT would only increase the chance if a parent has it. -Something a lot of people are worried about is the value of rosettes. I do not think rosettes will decrease in value, because single-rosettes have always been low in value and people wont use them on every single breeding- just ones where a rosette is probably garunteed through an Ochre. If anything, multi rosettes will become more common but nothing significant. -The wording implies that it can be used on both males and females, further implying that it can be stacked -Estimated Price: 100-150 RB Follow the Injured (FtI): Official Description: “Using this item will boost the odds of your lionesses finding specific prey for your hunting quests.” What we get from this: -Definitely very unique but unfortunately will probably be completely overshadowed to the LT -Probably either lasts for a set duration of time (3 hours?) or is “used up” once the quest is finished -Possibly comes with another side effect, such as a smarts boost to the lions on the hunting patrol where it is used? Double exp gain during its use would be cool too -Estimated Price: 30-60 RB ![]() |

Past breeding items introduced have not instilled within me much faith that the criteria will be healthy. But I'm reserving my judgment until then. I'm just worried if it will affect the multi-rosette kings' profits. I'm really hoping that the criteria are: - Having an existing rosette in their heritage OR - Having the base tied to the rosette But admittedly, the first criteria could, if not regulated, mean rosette bombs could pass it all, right? Regardless, kinda hope the resulting rosettes are random. ![]() Edited on 05/03/24 @ 09:20:44 by [♰] Yharnam (#112370) |

I have bred rosettes from breeding 2 G1 lions where rosettes were not in their markings. I find it's more random than having my Primal King having more primal and jellyfish cubs. ![]() |

I thought that it saying "appearing" meant a new rosette randomly popping up on a cub, not passing from a parent- as in, if the conditions for a surprise rosette to appear in a breeding are met, there's a higher chance of the roll succeeding and the surprise rosette popping up on a cub in the litter. As far as I'm aware, rosettes then pass from parent to cub like any other marking, just at a drastically reduced rate- I don't think this item would impact that. The criteria have been kept secret for this long that I really doubt they'd reveal it when they release the item- but there is speculation about them being "combo markings" almost, relying on certain pairings of marking shapes in the parents. I'd sort of like to know if everyone's on the right track in thinking that, but I think knowing the specific criteria kind of takes the fun out of seeing them pop up unexpectedly in a cub. ![]() Edited on 05/03/24 @ 16:16:26 by [ heartbroken ] [ G2 ] (#209190) |

How wild it'd be if players could reliably figure out what made them appear. Who knows, maybe some have. ![]() |

I saw someone in the forums once say that one of the random rosette criteria was met by both or one parents having a feline and an unders/underbelly type marking. So far all of the random rosettes I've popped out have matched that criteria. Just food for the thought. ETA: In reply to the post below me, different rosettes need different criteria. Most of the random rosettes this combo has popped out for me have been soft/inverted, not heavy. ![]() Edited on 06/09/24 @ 21:27:00 by Sable🐾[G2 Mottle Nefer 4xRos] (#255808) |

Maybe, maybe not- I have an EHR from my queen despite having only met half of that requirement, the mother having an unders marking ![]() Edited on 24/03/24 @ 23:37:20 by ShaydeWanderer [He/They/She] (#171201) |
