Drat Lore:



What is a Drat?



Drat Adoptable Rules:
-As always, all site rules apply.
-Drats are a closed species, users may not create their own Drat without the use of a MYO.
-There is no limit to the amount of Drats one may own.
-Users must have an updated, accurate storage thread for their Drats in order to partake in any breedings or other species related activities.
-Users may only obtain one Drat per posted litter (Unless Auto-Buying). Users may obtain multiple if the litters end date is extended.
-Users may not alter the final design (Lineart, design, colors, accessories etc.) on any adopts or finalized MYOs.
-Users may not claim designs, adopts, items or artwork that do not belong to them. Theft and more importantly art theft will be taken very seriously.
-Drats may only be traded for other Drats, breeding slots, Drat items or artwork.
-Adopted Drats may not be sold for in-game or real life currencies.
-Users may gift their Drats to others 1:1 or via free raffle.
-All trades and gifts are final.
-There is a two week trade cooldown for all Drats, including when first adopted.
-Drats may be used as OCs, sonas etc and posted anywhere as long as proper credit is given and linked back.
-Lastly, be kind! These guys are meant to be fun and exciting!

Rules are subjected to be updated or changed at any time!

To make bidding fair on all parties involved, the Auto-Buy will only ever be USD. Users may, and are encouraged, to bid more than the Auto-buy is worth with items. This way if a Drat isn't Auto-bought the highest offer wins!

Welcome to the Drats Item Shop! Here is where you can buy useful items for your Drats, or maybe even take a new friend home with you! We have an ever expanding inventory and hope to meet all your Drat needs. Some items, however, cannot be bought in the Drat Item Shop and are exclusive to exploring. Drats don't have a main form of currency as to not overcomplicate things. Therefore Gold and Silver Beetles and USD can be used to purchase items from the shop.

Breedings and Nursery
Welcome to the Nursery! If you're interested in expanding your colony this could be just the answer you're looking for. But first lets go over everything you will need to know in order to have a successful pairing. Please make sure to read all the rules and risks associated with breeding Drats before you submit an application.



Breeding Rules:
-The Nursery is open for applications the first week of every month, any forms submitted after midnight (EST) on the 8th will be void.
-Users must own at least one maternity cage in order to submit a breeding.
-Users must have screenshot proof in order to use another users Drat in a breeding. It is up to the users how the Drits are split if at all.
-Drats must be adults to breed (2 weeks old or older).
-Females can only be bred once every 3 months.
-Females have between 1-5 breeding slots determined at birth, users may not exceed these slots.
-Female slots must be accurately kept track of, mis or overuse of slots may result in sterilized Drits or confiscation of Drats.
-Males have unlimited slots, but its not recommended to overbreed them.
-Unless an item is used only MalexFemale breedings may occur.
-Drats cannot be closely related to breed, at least 5 generations removed.

*Rules are subjected to change at any given time.



Drit Survival Statistics:



This forum below needs to be correctly and completely filled out. Any forum not done correctly will be void and thus ignored.

Each accepted breeding will cost 1USD/2GB/2000SB and a maternity cage (found in explore) will be immediately removed from the users inventory. Best of luck! We can't wait to see what the next generation holds!

Welcome to the expedition center, here you can explore certain parts of our world. You will mostly find items but sometimes, if you're lucky, a Drat will want to come home with you too! Some of the items you find here cannot be bought in the store and are unique to exploring. Come check the map, pack your bags, and we'll get the car ready for you!

-Every zone has unique items in them, some items overlap, some are zone exclusive.
-Drats found in explore are PYOP (Pick Your Own Palette)
-Mutated Drats are only rolled if Drat is initially rolled positive.
-Drats found with mutations will have said mutation based on the zone they are found in.

Hello fellow Drat enthusiasts! The time has finally come for V3 of Drats to officially open! Please note there have been a lot of changes and updates made, these will all be highlighted below.

But first I want to reach out and express my deepest gratitude for everyone's patience and support. Without this community Drats would be nothing. Everyone is so kind and friendly and that's just the kind of community I strive to be apart of. These little pixel creatures mean the world to me and it makes me so happy to see them bring everyone such joy. So for that I thank you.

Now onto all the announcements that come with the opening of V3:
. Updated Lineart! All the original lines for the species has been updated by the lovely ✧Kassi✧ (#187224). We've also added 2 new poses for the male and female Drats respectively. You can check out the updated lines in the Drat Shop! All Drats from V1 + V2 do NOT have to be updated to the new lineart, however if a user would like their Drat updated to the new lineart head to the Poses section of the Item Shop for the option to do so.
. We've added a Discord that anyone can join! You can get pings when the nursery opens, new litters drop etc. Explore and Breeding rolls will be made here. And users can chat, share art and so much more. We hope to see you there!
. A new fancy welcome sign slideshow, featuring a male and female Drat. If you'd like your Drat featured in the slideshow check out the Drat Shop. Also a slightly updated forum color scheme.
. Artist positions are open! Im looking for up to 3 people to help with litters, growths and other Drat related art things. Staff will receive: Store Discounts, Commission on Litters and Growths and bonus items/perks. Please DM me if you are interested in joining the Drat team.
. Tons of new items added to the Shop and Explore respectively. Ive also removed explore restrictions meaning users may use the explore function to their hearts content.
. A Guide on Drat Mutations can be found here, and on the main topic underneath the growth chart. If you have an idea for a mutation let me know and Ill see about adding it in.
. A Drat Item Bank can be found here, and on the main shop thread right underneath the conversion chart. If I have forgotten an item that you own please let me know so I can update it right away.
. A Exploration Wiki can be found here, and on the main exploration topic right underneath the info tab. If you have an idea for an item let me know and Ill see about adding it in.
.The Halloween Event was closed prematurely due to lack of activity. All users that did participate were compensated with currency that can be spent in the Drat Shop. If you do not see your compensation in the Item Bank please let me know ASAP so I can get that added!
*Please note the Halloween thread will be deleted in 30 days (5-11-24) So if there is any images or anything you'd like to save from that event PLEASE do that now!

And with that I think thats all the announcements I have to make, I will update this post if Ive forgotten something. I am working on the new litter now and that should be posted very soon. I think you all will really enjoy this litter, especially if you love the ocean ;) This post is already getting pretty long so im going to wrap it up here. Im sure ive forgotten something but I will update further if needed. Thank you all again so much for being a wonderful, patient, and kind community. It's a lot of work running a closed species solo and ive learned so much from doing so. So again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
