Shortly after MPM31 was observed to have been expelled from his pride, the observation team decided to tranquilize him so that he could be fitted with a radio collar. Shortly after this event he was seen to have traveled more than 15 miles outside of his birth range. For now the team is just tracking his movements. More updates to come.

APF01 - This is the female that was recently observed following MPM31 around. It is believed that she is a younger dispersal like himself. It remains to be seen if she'll stick around or not, but the team is confident enough that they plan to fit her with a tracker within the next month.

APF01 has remained elusive to capture in order to fit her with a radio tracker, but while the team has been trying to keep track of her, it would seem as though a new face is slowly making itself known.
This brown female was recently observed hanging around with both APF01 and MPM31. It would seem as though the two females have formed a sort of bond, as the two were seen grooming each other. It's possible that the two are related, but that is unknown. This brown female has been seen accompanying APF01 during it hunts, so hopefully this means that she'll be more successful.

She shall also be fitted for a radio collar as soon as possible.
About a week after sightings of APF02 were logged by the observation team, a new lioness made herself known. She seems to have wondered in on her own and doesn't appear as through she knows any of the others. For now she appears to be keeping her distance. but it's clear that MPM31 has been showing a minor interest in her. It remains to be seen if the other females will let her join them, but things are looking good for her if MPM31 continues to hang around her.

The team finally managed to get a clean shot at APF01 and were able to fit her with a radio collar. She seemed a little slow to come out of the sedative, but once she was on her feet again she came out of it fine. The team also noted a new scar that did not appear to be present the last time they got a good look at her, and it has been added to her ID log.

A week or two after APF01 was fitted with her collar, another new face was seen hanging around the outskirts of the pride's usual range. It wasn't too long after that the female was seen with MPM31 and APF02. It is believed that she might be related to APF02, given their resemblance, but it not's really clear either way. What is clear, however, is that MPM31's new pride has continued to grow, and the team are looking forward to the day that they finally see evidence of breeding and possible future cubs.

After APF01 was fitted with her own radio collar, the team watched her and her pride-sisters' movements. They were observed hunting several times, and while it doesn't appear as if MPM31 has bred with any of them, the females are all seeming to form their own bonds amongst themselves.

A couple of weeks after APF04 joined the pride, MPM31 was seen in the presence of an unfamiliar female. For a while it seemed like she was more interested in him than he was of her, and it was believed that she was just a passing loner, but then she was witnessed hunting with the other females and so the team took her photo to use as a means to identify her in the future. She has since been added to the pride's roster.

After a rather uneventful month of just watching the lions laze about and fail miserably at hunting, it wasn't too long into the seventh month of observation that a new face was added to the log book for ID. This time a very pale lioness with a strikingly beautiful white blazed underbelly. She's been dubbed APF06 as she was seen lazing with two of the other females, APF01, and APF05.
