- observe the area
- look for the biggest gaps and then place a lioness out there i don't know exactly how to describe it but place them far away (the zebra can only move one space at a time) put a gap in between your far lioness in the big gaps, it makes it harder to escape
- make a big circle then slowly shrink it
- make sure you know where all gaps are it can sometimes be easy to miss one
- place one far out on the big gaps but if the zebra heads towards a one space gap its less of a worry as long as its not directly next to it
