Returned to Lioden after months yesterday and well.... something at least "curious" happened

I bought a cub that will possibly be my heir and setted with a brood mother of course (I'm not going to take the risk lol). But then she died at this rollover (a cute lioness that I really liked )

The question is: does my cub have a chance of dying because of this? I can't set him with another broodmother anyway.
