I used to wish we could recycle RLs that landed on dead accounts but unfortunately there’s no way to be able to know if that player will return. Imagine the excitement of being away from lioden for 5 years then coming back and seeing you won a rl! VS the disappointment of being gone and coming back, seeing you win a rl, but some other dude got bc you were “gone too long” from a video game! There’s a lot of angles to consider about rls+”dead” accounts

There are suggestions to re-raffle a new version while keeping the OG on the first winner's account. The game has a pretty strict policy of not touching things on someone's account, even if they're suspended. It's only particular scenarios, and a collection of pixels that no one is entitled to is not one of the exceptions. The pixels don't care that they're stuck on an account.

It's also like... how long is too long for someone to not play a voluntary and for-fun game? 6 months? A year? 5 years?

Breeding projects and raffle lioness recreations are growing ever-popular, and they are even easier now with ochre powders. I completed my full-BO project that had been going on for 2.5 years within days of starting ochre powders. It's not impossible to find a raffle lioness you like and customize her to your liking for a project, or just try to remake her period. It is an investment though, and you have to hope the slots she was meant to spread were re-released or are re-released while you're making them.

But owning an original raffle lioness is an investment either way.
