This would be very expensive and would either need a whole new team of people or would need the current team to split their time. Xylax and the other artist are the only artists iirc, and they are swamped as it is.

They do have a whole team of artists, more than just those two. And they have discussed physical merch before, so it's not off the table. They just haven't for whatever reason pursued it.

I’d rather the LD team focus strictly on Lioden/Wolvden, not go off doing merch. They’ve made a bunch of promises for LD and that’d be delayed if merch were to be made.

Here's the news post where it was brought up. They seemed to be considering plushies. Since it's been a year and some, I'm not sure what the plan is yet. It was pretty popular for the poll, so a big majority of active players from last year seemed to be interested.

I doubt it would be done, they already have a lot of work with jaglions + male pose.
Also, plushies are expensive as all hell to be made with revisions and such.

All I'm saying is that they were seriously considering it last year and it was pretty popular. Lioden is a legitimate company and they can afford to make plushies if they want to. The goal of merchandise is usually profit; they aren't just throwing the money in a black hole. Not in theory, anyway.

Now, if they're going to, I don't know. Maybe they are pushing it off for whatever reason or it's another one of their forgotten promises. But it is a thing they talked about and this is not a crazy suggestion. I'm not holding my breath, though.
