The irritating sound of metal rubbing against itself, echoed throughout the forest. Different types of pokémon perk up, eyes scanning for threats. It was well known that humans were frequenting the forest. Pokémon were being caught by eager trainers.
Though the source of the sounds didn’t come from a human.
A Revenarmor was marching through the forest. Their armor glinted in the sunlight, the armor was rubbing together. Their red eyes were full of determination.
There had been reports of a mysterious pokémon protecting a sword in a stone. Some trainers had attempted to fight the Pokémon. But none managed to defeat it. The only thing they gained from their recklessness was major injuries and possible dead Pokémon.
But the Revenarmor knew that they stood a chance. They had traveled hundreds of miles, fought off hundreds of trainers attempting to catch them, just to reach their destiny. The quest was unpredictable, and the worst part was that they could fail.
And yet that wasn’t stopping the Revenarmor.
They glanced around, taking in their surroundings. Their eyes watched for any signs of pokémon, mainly Tinkamons. Tinkamons loved to attempt to steal Revenarmors’ armor.
The forest just seemed lifeless. Most creatures were in hiding. Whether from humans or from the mysterious aggressive pokémon. The air only got colder the deeper into the forest the Revenarmor got. The beautiful forest became a suffocating eerie sight.
However it didn’t hinder the Revenarmor’s determination. They continued on, the want for their goal clouded them. They were gonna achieve their goal, no matter what.
They came to a halt, they had entered a clearing. And yet the area was empty, except for a sword that was lodged in a stone. It was easy, too easy. The Revenarmor examined the clearing.
A roar nearly startled them, they quickly leaped away from their spot as something collided with the ground. A dust cloud formed from the sheer impact. If they had been a second late, their attacker would’ve landed a hit.
As the dust cleared, the creature that had attacked them appeared to be a Hydreigon. It’s six wings twitched as it searched to find its prey. It’s deep dark pink eyes locked with Revenamor’s red ones.
In a split second the Hydreigon attacks once more. This time using Dragon Rush. Revenarmor dodges the attack with ease, adrenaline pumping through their body. They rush forward to unleash their own attack,
The attack managed to land but it irritated the hydreigon even further. It let out an earthshaking roar, that sent many hiding pokémon further away from the clearing.
Its two faces for hands were enraged, it attempted to bite Revenamor but missed. Revenarmor landed gracefully, their mind racing with ideas on how to defeat the enemy long enough to grab the sword. The air in the clearing was thick and heavy. Hydreigon and Revenarmor held intense eye contact, as if they were waiting for one to make a move.
They had barely enough time to dodge another attack, their body slightly ached. Their opponent had managed to graze their armor. It sent jolts of emergency through Revenarmor. They were glad that it hadn’t drawn blood, but it was possible that it may leave a scar.
They needed to end this battle quickly.
They hadn’t come this far just to be defeated. They were gonna get that sword no matter what. Even if that means fighting to the death. It wasn’t the most idle feeling. Knowing that death may happen before you reach your goal. But at least you tried, right?
It was a bittersweet emotion.
Revenarmor noticed that the hydreigon was getting tired, this was their chance!
They launch themself over to their opponent, their attack successfully landing. The hydreigon collapsed with a whine. It’s body was trembling, the once aggressive creature was now weak and helpless.
They had won…
Revenarmor winces, pity glints in their eyes. They didn’t want to kill the poor creature. Even if it had attacked them. The injuries didn’t look horrible, the hydreigon should survive. Which was a relief considering they felt as if they’ve been drained.
They heard the faint sound of humming. Their eyes locked onto the sword in the stone. The calling towards it was so strong that the fakemon started to move towards it as if they were on autopilot. The sword was practically illuminated by the sun.
The faint rustles of pokémon peeking out of their hiding spots fell on deaf ears. What mattered to Revenarmor, was the sword. The sword that they had traveled miles to reach. The sword that they fought a hydreigon just to earn.
They wrap a hand around the handle of the sword. Their body jolted with a rush of energy. Their body changed as they evolved. Revenarmor, they were no longer. Now they were Divaliber.
This had completed their destiny. Their quest had been completed. A sense of happiness made them relax as the energy kept flowing through them. The chattering of pokémon became background noise as they examined the sword. It was gorgeous.
Just like they thought it was gonna be.

I would go for the 1k word option! (1 gb, right?) I would love something for either my deer ocs Asael and Carrionbed or my genshin ocs, too, whichever you would feel more confident in writing! I would love to get writing for either, in any case!
