I love the breeding items in the shop, and grinding feels super worthwhile cause of all the items I can get! The encounters are funny to me as well, though I understand players who feel awkward about em

September
Gotta get my gnaws and saltlicks u_u The grind doesn't feel quite as rewarding as February, but that isn't to say it doesn't still feel like I get a good amount out of it!

October
Love the theme, decor, and of course, crunchy worms and shadows of death. It loses a couple points due to it being at the tail end of my 6 month grind though - I'm so tired by the 25th or so LOL, I straight up relax through November and December afterward

May
I already patrol my submales once per hour each day, so it's really easy to get into the groove of entering tournaments once per hour as well! My kings suck this year apparently since they keep losing, but at least I'm on a leaderboard :')

August
The grind feels relaxing compared to June+July which are straight battling months. I don't think I did a single battle in August last year. Battles are so tedious!


Honorable mentions -

January
In 2024 they added the treasure hunt mini-event, which I really enjoyed compared to just the hunger theme of previous January events. I can't quite rank it on my top 5, but piracy is fun!!

April
Exploring with mask off is nice for the simplicity, and mask on is nice for the cute fluffball encounters! I don't remember if there's a significant difference in the amount of EE I get with one or the other, but I needed to get a ton of lucky feet, which are way easier to get with the mask off.

June
Really love the decor, the theme, the storyline. Just feels really unrewarding to grind, unfortunately. The base app prices are rather high compared to other events.

July
Gets a bit overwhelming to explore and battle in the celestial zone for a long time, especially when managing energy between the two realms (since you don't use energy to walk around in celestial, but still lose energy from battling, you have to switch to regular explore every 15 minutes unless you want to just waste the energy regen). The art is stunning, though, and there are a ton of cool decors! I HIGHLY recommend starting the vredefort quest, even if it bankrupts you at the time, because otherwise you'll have to wait a whole year to take the quest. You have an unlimited time to complete it afterwards, so you may as well take the quest so you can chip away at it over time!

I think July is probably the one I look forward to most every year, partly out of nostalgia because I remember the first july event and how excited I was about the idea of getting a Celestial lion! (Celestial speckles is still one of my top fav marks lmao) I’ve also missed out on the last few july events and have a decent amount of leftover currency so this year i’m particularly exocited to see everything that’s changed since the last time I saw it

I think June is a lot of fun too, especially being able to pick from a few different routes for the story which is my favorite part of every event tbh

I’ve been kinda absent/on&off here for the last 3 years so i’m not sure if everything is still how i remember it but based on the past…
I love the decor of october but i’m not really into the plot (plus i have usually don’t have high/low enough karma by then to get the most out of it)
for january, I love the story line
february has good items,
i like the decor and theme of august,
september has great items and i like the theme
and december is fun because its honestly nice to see the community come together and do nice things for eachother in the holiday spirit

This year I’m honestly mostly just curious to see what’s new and how much things have changed, especially since i have a habit of randomly logging on and forgetting to buy anything lmao

My fav event is probably February due to all the flirting/slapping and cool items that can be purchased, however, I've only participated in events from Jan-May, thus I'm excited for June (seems rlly cool rn), July (i'm a sucker for anything space/celestial related) and December (I love the idea of gifting others/showing appreciation towards everyone else in the community!)

However, I def have January close to my heart as that was when i joined LD

July, Feb, October, January and September are all my favs

April, May, June and August are all decent

I dont like december because the theme is just nasty and wasted potential, november cause wasted potential, and march because theres really nothing to do but explore grind for medicore apps and items.
