The wild speaks, and it awaits your reply.
But not all can answer the deep, primal call
It has awaited since the time that giant lions with fangs roamed the Earth, sowing terror
And now, few hear it
This call yearns to be spoken, to converted into stories that settle deep inside the souls of Kings
His paws made no sounds over the dry, crackling grass. He had to stay silent, silent as a shadow, because it was the new moon. Monsters prowled the nights. Monsters weren't scared away as easily as hyenas; They fed off of your deepest feelings, regret, sadness, and anger. No one was immune to their delicate caresses, to the devil's promises they make, to get you to house them in the deepest part of your soul.
His ears delicately twitched, locating the swish of another approaching him. There was no growl, no warning roar, yet his pose was evidently hostile as he fixed his eyes on the females who approached him. A leopon and a tigon, both unnaturally calm for their species. The leopon's stern eyes fixed on him, yet the tigon leaned her head back, basking in the moonlight. None of them spoke, yet the exchange was clear to anybody who was watching: The deal had been made.
In the dead of the night, three forms entered the cave barely half a mile away
There was no more sound.
