I'm so sorry if this isn't in the right board. I have a hard time figuring out which one to put them on based on the topic.

So I have a bunch of gems that I don't really need so I'm planning on selling them (1 Amber, 6 Amethysts, 3 Carnelian, 3 Cats Eye, 1 Celestite, 6 Dioptase, 1 Fire Opal, 5 Garnet, 1 Hematite, 1 Howlite, 2 Jasper, 4 Kunzite, 6 Moonstone, 7 Rhodonite, 6 Rough Ruby, 3 Tanzanite, 4 Natural glass and 4 Phantom Quartz) . I looked up the gems in the item catalogue and went to the branches, I chose the cheapest prices for all of them and multiplied it by however many I have stacked for each (ex: 1 moonstone = 80SB, 80SB x 6 gems = 480 SB) and the total came out as 22755 SB or 22 GB.

Now I have a few questions regarding the gems, the first one being do people even really go after gems in the TC? if not then I think I'd rather just drop them at the tree over a period of time. If people do buy it how much should I price it for, less then or the same amount as what I got?

sorry if this is an odd question or if its been asked & answered before, I couldn't find anything related

I personally have a bit of a hard time getting small things like gems to sell in TC, but if you wanted to try, it can't hurt to list them! I personally knock off some of the price for a bulk deal--it makes your trade more attractive over having to individually hunt down gems.

I do personally hoard gems for crafting, and if you're not interested in crafting, you might have the best luck holding onto them until their respective months! People can also make really attractive raffles during the crafting months to get their gems, so you could use them as easy tickets if you can wait.

THANK YOU FOR THE INPUT! I'm not too much of a crafter when It comes to lioden, not unless its something I really want without spending money and I personally don't think I have a use for these gems at the moment or in the near future, so I think I'm gonna give selling them a try. Ill always be able to save them for raffles or their respective months as you suggested if no one buys them :D Any ideas on what I should lower the price too?

It's personal discretion, how much you can lower it to without taking emotional damage bahah. If I had a bulk trade of 22gb, I would try 20gb--I try to round down to something more even.

Trying to find the right way to say this... Sorry if this makes no sense I have a roaring headache lol. I like to try to keep everything separate. Like only garnets in a trade, and make a separate trade for howlite etc. I've heard people talking about how it's frustrating for there to be a bunch of different things in one trade. But not a big deal if you try to lump them together too!

you're making perfect sense don't worry and separating them actually sound like a very sound way of doing it so I think ill try it that way and whatever doesn't sell Ill wait for their month or just throw them at the tree. Thank you so so much, you've been a HUGE help and I hope you feel better :D
